We all want to know that and follow along, it's going to be great. The intense pressure to succeed will offer a cacophony of resounding attack on the sensibilities of the naysayers. I trust my sponsorship will offer an incentive for these two intrepid adventurers to forge new paths and goals and surpass everyone's wildest expectations. I'm just waiting for the first pictures of bike prep. I can barely stand it......I want to see the screen and oil filter on the Grom.......for me that would be the first step in this wonderful adventure....see-ing the bike preparation....well that and the reassurance that their passports are in order and valid for the travel time. I've asked various questions not are not answered yet, but I assume they are busy route and modification planning and my answers can wait. Barely wait but wait I must. I'd really like a pic of the screen though...I want to do the same thing to my Grom.

FYI folks, Tuckers just earned a vacation with the previous post.

Whether you believe this trip is feasible or not, please be respectful with your feedback. This is not JM, trolling/shitposting will not be tolerated.

    Thanks.

The rainy season starts in May in Guatemala; the average is 6" of rain in May and it rains half the month. Be sure to bring rain gear!

I am an incredible Frogg Toggs advocate. These things rock.
Also, I feel like MC Hammer every time I wear the pants.

No, it's not weak and he is not ribbing them. He is being the usual jerk that he always is. He doesn't want these guys to succeed and if you think he does then you are as full of it as he is.

Good luck to the OP on this trip!

It will be an interesting trip if it happens. I only wish the OP would post a few photos to validate this thread. It would only take a few minutes. Was an interesting read.

I thought you'd be posting some photos of your bike builds and stuff. Looking forward to seeing what you're doing to get the bike ready for the trip :thumb

After the events of this thread, I don't feel comfortable posting many pictures due to the negative nature of [some] of the posters.
Also, I don't recall either OP nor I ever having a sponsor. If you're referring to the wager he offered then be aware that it is not a sponsorship, but a gamble.
A sponsorship, by definition, offers funding for an event, not as a bet.

It is. We depart May 18th.

Just spent the last 6 weeks touring Mexico....probably rode the roads you'll be taking on your Adventure Rally.

I would highly recommend the following upgrades to your bikes: Suspension, aftermarket headlight and spotlights, and comfortable seat.

The road conditions are going to be your biggest hurdle/delay. Topes, potholes, deviations for road construction, etc. These issues will really bring down your average speed per day....and therefore, the likelihood that you'll have to ride at night (which I don't recommend) to meet your daily mileage goals. Hence the suspension and lighting recommendations.

Best of luck and keep us posted regarding your planning and trip!
