Pleasant surprise in the mail today
QBE have sent me an Egift card for the value of $25.00
This is because of lack of use of the bike due to Covid 19
    Two policies + $50.00
    Thanks QBE

Same here and used it already.
Now have to contact them to cancel my policy as I just sold the bike.
Youi have given discounts each month since June on the car insurance on top of a year discount because of Covid-19.

I’ve got 3 bikes with them but I live rural, wonder if I’ll get anything?

Be interesting to see if the % refund matches the % reduction in use, risk or claims...
    Any bets it doesn't?

    I’d suspect no :D
There’s still the risk of theft or some other form of damage I guess but risk would have to be significantly lower at the moment and payouts for vehicles must be at record lows.
I’m just impressed that QBE is giving any sort of refund, getting money out of an insurance company is never easy.

I didn't expect to see anything but just got an email to say I'm getting $275 so that's a bonus.

With 3 lots of data-fishing along the "redemption-slog" (QBE/ Prezzee voucher/ store voucher website) they can shove their $25/ bike.
I happily loose 50 bux for our 2 policies for peace of mind and 100s of spam-mails/ SMS's etc over the next 6 months alone.
At least the letters/ envelopes are recyclable...

I wish they did that for health insurance. I'm waiting for a knee reconstruction that was scheduled for April but cancelled. Insurer is Defence Health. Just got an increase in premiums this week. No word on when I'm getting it done. At least I'll be ahead of the poor buggers without private health.

3 bikes and it's $50 for a car. Nothing back on tractors, headers and all the other crap around here though.

At least you have Defence Health, no better than that for cover and rebates.

    Wahoo, thanks for the reminder!
The emails came in a few weeks ago and I saw them late at night and parked them to read up on when I was awake and alert. And of course forgot!
I'll find something to spend the 50 on at the Bunnings or Supershite Auto...
    Cheers

I only needed to give QBE my email address, which will save paper come renewal time anyway.

Rest was links from QBE email to Prezzie then store voucher, though you're correct they "could" pass info along but that might violate spam laws and QBE doesn't want that on their plate...

    Cheers John
