Glorious weather? With you two? The rain magnets? I sure hope it continues. But the track record isn’t promising.

Appreciate the time you’ve taken to post these update. Thanks

This time at some kind of mini-farm, they had horses, goats and many dogs.
We saw a bag of sardines lying around, so we took a few fishies and fed them to the doggies

Good thing Neda has no tankbag on this motorcycle, otherwise it'd be more than just sardines that she'd be stealing...

...And some jealousy over how you sport that fanny-pack. Wish they would come back into social-acceptability here.

    Thanks for the updates.

Haha, truthfully I would have preferred a tank bag, but I didn't want to buy one just for this leg.

When I first started motorcycling, there were a few things I swore I wouldn't get caught dead with:

    - fannypack
    - flip-up helmet
    - fluorescent gear
    - riding a big touring bike (RT or Goldwing)

    Oh well.

Great RR! Very jealous. So much to see and so little time.

Know how you feel about what you would not do, said the same about pulling a trailer behind my Goldwing (wouldn't do it) and the other half agreed. Went to the Yukon this past summer, bought a trailer for the trip and it was a great addition for extended touring.

    Ride safe. Cheers

You really know how to hurt a man, but still make him feel grateful that you're there.

Yes, I wear a fluorescent, flip-up helmet, and ride a gigantic BMW twin, but I only wish for the days of the fannypack.

    Touche' sir. Well roasted.

    Must be a Canadian thing.

I think you got it all wrong, Sinnergy - that's not a jab at you! In his younger days, Gene swore he wouldn't get caught dead with those things. But then he matured and decided he didn't give a toss about what anyone else thought about whether he had any of those things, and decided to ride and wear whatever he damn-well wanted to - and posted the photos to prove it. That's my take on it, anyway...

May I say Neda's got the eyes, dude! I wouldn't want her to look at me with anger! They''re beautifully direct.

Okay, the RideDOT.com doggy feeding session is over. Back to hit those mountain roads. Speaking of, they are beautiful in the background!

Just outside of the town of Ogata, we stop because there are a lot of tour buses and cars pulling into a parking lot. So we stop as well to check out what all the fuss is about.

Harajiri Waterfalls, nicknamed the Oriental Niagara Falls because of the shape. Yeah... but like 100 times smaller! :) Canadian pride...

This waterfall literally sprang up overnight, when Mount Aso erupted some 90,000 years ago. The lava flowing from Aso carved through the flatlands in this area, creating this geographic wonder.

Neda is always stopping and taking the time to smell the flowers

Okay, back on the bikes! We are now leaving the Oita Prefecture and heading to the Miyazaki Prefecture.

We continue our ride southwards through the Miyazaki Prefecture, on the island of Kyushu.

We love the mountains in Miyazaki! So scenic! 12% of the land in this prefecture is devoted to National Parks!
