What did you buy?
Nothing too exciting. Not brand new, just new to me, '05 GasGas Pro. Not worthy of a snow storm but maybe a little rain.
Hi Fine Folks, my son and I are considering giving trials a go and would like to get some legit training on proper technique. It took many years but I finally learned it is better to start something new with real training/coaching to build a good foundation rather than just having at it. I've done a bit of searching and haven't found anything in the Rocky Mountain area. We're Denver based so something within a few hours of the front range is ideal but would be willing to go further.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
How about this:
How old is your son and how much riding experience?
Thanks! This is along the lines of what I'm looking for. I wonder why I didn't come across it when I was searching the interweb??? Do you have experience with this school?
12, solid rider, good mental judgement, understands bike dynamics, good trail bike skills but not super aggressive, does not ride mx. Started on a Crf 50 around 6 or 8 and worked up to a ttr125 that he's on now. However this is our first riding season in CO and the steeper, rockier, sandier terrain has reintroduced a learning curve compared to east coast riding that he grew up with.
Perfect age to start learning trials skills. Hopefully he can make it out to the Youth Nationals http://www.itsoffroad.com/Western_Nationals.html. It would be a great motivator for him with all the other kids. I`ll be there as we will be killing time for the national that weekend. The group of tall teenagers will be us!
Thanks Lineaway, I will look into making it... It would be great for him to see/meet other kids and if we do make it I will look for you!
In the mean time I'm looking into a training session at "its off-road"!
It was a fun day getting back into trials at Stock Ranch today. I dropped down to Intermediate to play it safe and I'm glad I did. Rough day, but fun.
Still took 1st after a three year lay-off. Intermediate seemed like a good challenging day.
This guy was riding the amateur line, and doing quite well, so he took a stab at the intermediate line after he was finished up................Awesome tree park job!!
Now that's some style right there. Next round I'll play on the advanced line with you guys and see if I can provide similar entertainment.

Color version / Black & white version
Still working on getting the RMTA website updated, so if you visit the schedule tab won't be accurate yet.
