Hey guys, I'm moving to rifle at the beginning of march. I'm looking to get into trials. I'm lacking a bike but I've been looking for a while. Hope to meet some folks in the area.

Most events are between Salida and Cannon City.

Awesome! I have a good buddy that lives in Salida, so I've ridden ST in the area. 3 hours drive isn't too bad. Thanks for the response!

Perfect! Rabbit Valley is fun. I'm mostly a ST rider at this point, but I try trials type stuff on my big bike. I need to get a proper trials bike. Definitely need riding buddies!

Maybe they will be at Roswell next weekend or the vintage in two weeks. I am almost to San Ysidro right now.

Can't make it. Been busting my butt at work in hopes of getting a job promotion so haven't been riding this winter at all. Found out today that I didn't get the promotion so that was a dumbass move on my part; but still need to finish out this weekend............Good news is, it'll allow me to have my summer back. I'll be ready for some serious camping and throttle therapy by the first event!! Have fun!!

The area is south of Del Norte, West of Monte Vista. Stevie D has been working with the NF officials on several areas in South West/Central Colorado. I'll post a map on the RMTA site when I get word where the official pits will be.

If you want a google earth estimate, it will be somewhere near here:

All that I know about the Ute Cup location is that it's NOT the section of Rainbow Trail that was affected by the burn. I'm guessing it's north (towards Salida.) Again, I will post a map when it's clarified. Eitherway, it's gonna be awesome. If things go to planned, I hope to ride the Ute Cup this year, which will be my first!

9am sign up, 10am ride. Hope you can join us! All the additional details at http://rockymountaintrials.org.

We are going to make triple, extra sure that everyone is using a spark arrestor. We also hope to have enough fire extinguishers for one at each section and a few in the pits. It's pretty dry out there, but happy the South Park Ranger District is letting it happen!
