This is not my bike . I have the red white gravel scheme . But I love the look of this paint on this PD . If I remember correctly this bike was the victim of a flood . When the man rebuilt it , he did a nice job of it . My 93 PD only has 27,000 miles and it still feels like a new bike - Love the thing .
Wudo screen. Bike still looks like that. Owner lovely guy. Not riding much due to age. He is keeping himself amused with a car he built up. SMART car with a Hayabusa motor. I hear its very quick.
Nice to have an old friend here with me. Sold this in 2015 to my buddy when I switched to a 81 G/S. New owner is not a wrench so I just completed: new rear main seal, clutch, push rod seals and a long list of smaller maintenance items for him. Wonderful bike and one of the smoother running engines I've ever experienced on an airhead. One thing this bike has that I really miss is the Keisan Signal Minder. Running lights, auto time out turn signals, one touch cancel turn signals and flashing turn signals for brake lights. Great feature, sadly not available for the mono G/S. This bike as BMW heated grips w/ Acerbis brush guards (It's a fiddly install but worth the effort) original dash mount digital clock, euro headlight switch and a nice set of Trail Tech LED aux lights. They are wired up separately from the headlight circuit so they can be switched on w/o the bike running. Nice feature for those late night campsite settings when a blast of light is needed. Previous owner had a boss of a side stand welded on to the frame. It's a bit clunky but is solid, as long as I remember to put it up! New rebuilt trans from Re Psycle----of note-----they neglected to seal the V notch in the trans, so we had to sort that out as well. Rotor has been replaced and the original diode board is holding fast. It's on it's second drive shaft, previous owner had a new one installed after failure at 30K, sitting at 51K now. We inspected the shaft when the bike was apart last month and all looked fine. We'll see... Cheers!
