After looking at the Camel auxiliary fuel tank install. I am going to make my own tank. So I am able to quick disconnect when I am not riding long distance. Only problem is the egr hose coming off the filler cap. In there kit you vent the auxiliary tank back into that hose. Will it through any engine code if I just block the egr hose and just went the aux tank to the atmosphere?
I replaced my shocks on my 2014 GS and while I had bike apart, I did a canisterectomy same way I've done previous GS models. Tank vents to atmosphere and solenoid to throttle bodies gets capped. No code.
Shaft ED, if you check it with the GS911 most likely it will have a code, but no light on. Doesn't fit the criteria to illuminate the light. I have also done the same on my Megamoto and HP2 Sport. Both had codes and no light on
I have a gs911. Don't recall any code last time I hooked it up. I've had the canister off for a couple years now. I'll check again when I have a chance.
How did your install work out? I'm looking at plumbing my aux fuel cell in the same manner. After seeing the camel tank it looks like the best option without the need to drill a hole in the tank. More info would be greatful... Any pics of the install? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Also was a pump needed for the fuel transfer? How about a petcock system? I have my system about 90% worked out in my head just looking to iron out the small details Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
