I’m thinking of buying a 701 and make it into an adventure/travel bike. Will the ride garage fairing and auxiliary tank work with a seat from seat concepts on a 701?
Yes mate I have both and they fit nice and look good . I have since swapped out the Rade Fuel tank cap with a plastic one (small KTM) from acerbis . I also has a faulty fuel tap that was supplied with the kit , bought one from Ballards and all good, . love the set up . The kit is very well made and I get lots of comments about the bike. "Pretty" is the most common one
That was exactly the answe I was looking/hoping for, thank you! What a beauty! Got my 701 today, stoked to make it into my perfect travel bike.
Hmm looks exactly like mine however the thread is not allowing it to screw on. I have measured the inside of the original cap and the Acerbis one, and they are the same size.
Here's the thing I tried two different 'small' KTM caps neither fit ? Makes me think the thread is different on my tank ?
I know the link I sent you that one works and Rade recommended I get the one I did get The one supplied with the kit while being well made the thread is sooooo sharp sliced my finger open trying to clean the plastic swarth from the thread as it would slice the tank thread to bits each time you replaced the cap
Not so easy as most shops don't stock them unwrapped, just going to stick with the metal one and deal with any problems gown the line
My experience Installing the Husqvarna 701 LED mask Hi I just installed the LED mask so I have not had a lot of time to use it on the road, but first impressions are that it's a high quality part that works good. (Much brighter than original lights) But installing it with limited instructions was hard for me. This might vary depending on your experience. First of all the Led mask comes with no paper instructions pdf etc. There is a 2min installation video on rade garage youtube that goes over the installation very briefly. Myself would have needed a more detailed video of where all the screws go and such. Though Rade has ben very helpful and answer the questions I sent him very quickly. Problem #1 Most of the led mask mounting i figured out on my own. But one of the problems i ran in to was that the 8 screws holding the LED light got loose after riding for a short time. And I even lost one. Solution: Use Loctite. Problem #2 So after mounting all the parts I had some parts left over. And I had no idea if I had missed something or if they where just spare parts. This is the parts I had over, -1 philips head screw (one of the long one) that I lost while riding. So starting from the top, the 4 black rubber parts seem to just be spare parts. Same with the Philips head screws. The plastic washers goes under the bolts holding the plexi cover and the mask. And the white support is used as a "washer" for the small pegs that holds the mask in the front fender. Problem #3 After calibrating the LED lights after the (only) instructions that I got with the parts. The LED is against the black plastic part. And it makes a vibrating sound. This is the lover LED. And here you can see it makes contact with the plastic part under it. And that makes a vibrating sound. I have no idea how to solve this. I could re position the Led, but then they would possibly blind other drivers. If Rade has a solution please post it here. <----<---<----<--/// I will add some extra pictures that might help you guys when installing this LED mask. Except all the setback I had I really like this product. And I recommend it! If you have any questions just ask and I will try to help.
