    Things will all come together for you and the stress will float away. I think I understand the stess you are feeling I do that before every big ride and just this last week getting ready for Hells Canyon. Your stress is just a dat larger though since your big ride is HUGE but just like my stress floats away as things come together so will yours.

    I'm in Wallowa Valley now to check out the snow levels before you all arrive. :ricky The weather is beautiful this morning and it looks like the snow in the mountains is melting rapidly.

    See you when you show up. :clap

    P.S. Your nieces are adorable.

    Thanks.... Know that I will get all these things wrapped up and get on the road :ricky Them things will slow down and I can relax.

    Finishing up with facilitating a group of Men who's wives all have Alzheimer's Disease. Have been doing this for several years, and it has been an amazing experience. I arrived at my last meeting and was greeted by a very warm welcome, they had a bottle of Champagne to celebrate the beginning on my new Journey!! Was very touching. I will miss them, but know they will be following along.

    Then I had been invited to speak on a Radio program that is hosted by a Hospice Chaplin that I had taken a Grief class from. It was very helpful to me as I have had to come to terms with losing my dear Wife Chris.

    Had to laugh.... Radioman has now been on the "radio" twice.... very interesting experience.

    Hope this link works. It is a full 50 Minutes.... so sit back and listen.....
    (working on getting a place to upload this as it is 47MB and over an hour.... will update when I figure it out).

    Here is the host Joanne who has done this for 20 years.

    Radioman's quote:
    ""Still wrapping up my obligations today and beginning of this week. :deal

    Feeling the stress and strain of all the extra stuff to get done and really be ready to ride. Will be taking off on Wednesday/Thursday for a ADV gathering in Joseph Oregon for a Hells Canyon riding weekend!!""

    There is also the Chief Joseph BMW Rally this coming weekend in John Day. OR. They expect 500-700 riders. I'm riding in from Bellingham, WA. I plan on Thursday morning riding the Snake River Hells Canyon twistys on my way to John Day. Look for a black 1977 R100/7 and please make a point to say hello!
    Soneone made a comment in your posts that once the kick stand goes up the stress level lowers. I like that. Actually, I think I resemable that remark! :D

    Went up to Seattle yesterday to help some friends move there Daughters stuff into a new place for the summer. Grabbed a quick bit to eat....

    [IMG]

    Rode the new 800GS home from Seattle. As soon as I pulled into the driveway, I put on a few new parts, center stand, new exhaust pipe, light guard. Bunch more stuff to get put on before this bike will be ready. It always takes time to get the ergonomics just right....

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    today I am packing up to the Hells Canyon ADV gathering in Enterprise, OR.

    and doing some odds and ends around the house. Never ending house chores.

    Then off to a Board meeting for the Alzheimer's Association of Oregon. My last one :freaky

    Lots of details to wrap up this week, including a few projects at home so that I am ready to depart.
    <img alt="" src="https://radioman.smugmug.com/Motorcycles/RIDE-THE-WORLD/i-Fdhn9Z7/0/L/IMG2716-L.jpg" class="alignnone" width="800" height="600" />

    small plumbing project. Hardest part was deciding which toilet flushing system to get and install.

    <img alt="" src="https://radioman.smugmug.com/Motorcycles/RIDE-THE-WORLD/i-XZwBkhf/0/L/IMG2717-L.jpg" class="alignnone" width="800" height="600" />

    Then a stop at the bank to get some money changed, and my coin jar traded in for small bills.
    <img alt="" src="https://radioman.smugmug.com/Motorcycles/RIDE-THE-WORLD/i-KkXwLHG/0/L/IMG2728-L.jpg" class="alignnone" width="800" height="600" />

    And cleaning up my "office" area. Looking good for my renters....
    <img alt="" src="https://radioman.smugmug.com/Motorcycles/RIDE-THE-WORLD/i-ZcjQB63/0/L/IMG2735-L.jpg" class="alignnone" width="800" height="600" />

    And also had a final board meeting for the Alzheimer's Association of Oregon.
    It has been a privilege to serve on the board for many years to help bring awareness, help to families having this disease, help focus on research for a cure to this terrible disease.

    Photo to be posted soon.

    After we got all set up....

    [IMG]

    Had some dinner off the grill, and the camp host got a fire going.

    [IMG]

    For a Wednesday night lots of ADVRs showed up to enjoy the time together and the riding in the Hells Canyon area. We are staying at the Log House Campground in Enterprise.

    Good warm fire as the temps start to drop....

    supposed to be in the low 40's or possibly in the high 30's. Welcome to Summer in Oregon :lol3

    And we get a full moon rising over our fire gathering.

    [IMG]

    A young Swiss couple joined us around the fire. They are on a 2 1/2 month drive around the states!

    [IMG]

    Moonlit night near the mountains.

    [IMG]

    Before going to bed, had to watch a video called "riding the top of the world" about an indian Guy who rides to these high mountain passes in northern India. Great solo documentary :ricky

    Nice night pictures. :thumb

    People were up a sunrise talking about where they are going to ride today. So far I haven't seen Radioman I think he is getting some much needed rest.
