I've got some figuring to do!
I used pieces of 1"x1" sticks to simulate chassis tubes when building my race car frame.
I drilled holes both ways through the ends to run zip-tied through to hold each junction together.
It was cheap, fast, and easy to change lengths, angles, and so on to be able to visualize the frame.
Something to consider?
Sounds like a neat idea for sure! Thank you!
Made the new pivot for the sporty and burned it in place
Fully unloaded to 10" of travel(haven't committed to lengthening the swingarm yet). Have to make the backbone tomorrow then figure out the shock mounts.
Will the chain clear the swingarm at max compression?
Don't know yet but I think so. Need to mockup a chain
A turnbuckle works great for an adjustable mock shock absorber. Just make a bushing for the eye bolts, and you can even adjust it while the bike is sitting on the tires.
I see the next Must-Have custom bike hardtail setup.
Either painted flat black or chromed for blingout.
I see those turnbuckles on every cafe/bobber/scram/tracker at the next big custom bike show...
Can I get your autograph before you become world famous?
What a guy! Giving your genius ideas to others at no charge...
I am going to take off the spring and mockup the shock so I can run it through its travel.. great idea though!!
hey now,, I see a metmachex swingarm? Now I must see the whole bike!
What color chain.
Gold baby. Gold
Needs motor mounts and fore/aft bracing.
interesting back bone. Gonna have to pull the motor out to do cylinder work?
Thanks! Nope. It'll clear just fine.
