Dirt riding may be the key to cracking the time/space continuum. About 10 seconds on YouTube seemed like 5 minutes in the water trying to travel the same distance.

Hey shipwrek and anyone else in Ottawa going to Fall Colours,

    Hows the engine rebuild going?

I'll be trailering my stuff up to Fall Colours ride and should have room for 3 more bikes and bodies if anyone wants a lift.

    hey
well it is sure not the nascar rebuild center....bearings back ordered, bike is in a million pieces and its summer time. mechanic is busy.... sad...
so as far as plans to ride I'm being held against my will.... unless someone has a guaranteed complete motor.

as far as riding goes, I'm grounded untill my wings grow back...

But it did get me to clean out the boat and keep some kind of show on the road....ah water.. caught a few fish, couple of pike a couple of bass, a couple of j....ah never mind.

while fishing and thinking of bikes,,I thought that we would have a speckled trout tornament. friendly of course. On bikes...
you go from lake to lake trying to catch a few fish while not exceeding the gaming law. Biggest fish wins, and at the end of it all we have a fish fry...

do I have to go to another forum now?:huh

October 2-4 at the Wolf Den Bunkhouse in Oxtongue Lake.
Best hurry and book your spot. Once it's full there's no more room at the inn. Plenty of other local establishments but it's always nice to stay at HQ.

Saturday night will be a pot luck communal dinner and everyone's encouraged to try to outdo their efforts of last year. :evil

Lots of terrific riding in the area. It's a no-brainer.

That's about all anyone needs to know about Fall Colours ride.

    Oh, I see.

Hadn't reailzed the format had been altered to pave the way for further commercial opportunity.

With Ubert involved I guess I should have known.

yup! What i hear is that the redbull girls are serving up tim hortons chili scooped up with "c" cup billabong bikini tops and served in Motul liter containers. And to top it off a euro techno band to rave us into the night!

    Wheres my OJ?

Oh ya....almost forgot.... conklin will be setting up a few rides complete with a dunking tank!

Do you want to go FASTER!?!

Jou hare a funny guy, Ron. Amoung your many attributes, it's one of my favourites.

But you must agree that the charm and magic of the original format will surely be lost if the communal dinner party falls to commercial interest/opportunism?

The only real solution is to celebrate Thanksgiving together.

It's not like Ron ever has family commitments or anything.

Aw come on now. Quit changing my mind.

Seriously though, is the date set in stone and if so has anyone called the Den to reserve yet?

I'll be there one way or another but it would be nice if y'all were there as well.

    help me out here

Jocularity aside, the whole place is being held for us the weekend of October 2nd to 4th.

If I was you I'd get a reservation toot sweet. I believe their capacity is 49 bodies.

Last I heard from Oobah last week, he had made an enquiry about holding the whole Wolf Den for us for that weekend, but he hadn't gotten any reply from them. Has that changed Lornce?

Maybe I'll start the thread now and see where it goes... If the last week of September is too soon, and Turkey day weekend will definitely be low attendance and we don't necessarily want a repeat of the Fall NO Colours Tour" that only leave the weekend of the 3rd 4th as an option...and theres no pleasing everyone is there....

    Mike,

Ben, the owner, wasn't available when I called but I was informed by one of his associates that the whole place was being saved for us the weekend of October 2nd to 4th as they expected we'd fill it up. I reserved a spot for myself in one of the bunkhouses.

Having said that, I know nothing about any arrangements or deals Ubert may have been trying to make with the Wolf Den Bunkhouse.

There's a chance I may not be able to attend this event and if that happens I'll be sure to let folks here know if my spot becomes available.

    That's all I know.
