I always enjoy Scotland Ride Reports. One of my favorite places on earth. Been lucky enough to have been there 8 times. Cannot wait until the 9th time next Spring. Incredible place.
Wow! I forget how scenic it is up there. I've traveled to a lot of those places ----- but I never had weather as agreeable as what you had. Thanks for sharing. Regards, Rob
I wish everyone could see Scotland under blue skies, like most places it looks at its best when the sun shines. Happily most people visiting travel in hope rather than expectation of good weather.
I, for one, think Scotland looks best in clouds and stormy weather. Makes it even more dramatic. Though a sky blue day will move you to tears it is so beautiful.
Looks gorgeous! I'll be there for 2 weeks in August. I'm really hoping that I get a chance to do some riding there
No place in the world like Scotland, and amazing roads too, the best surface for real hard riding.............but the weather is very rarely like that, in my experience. Makes it even better however when it is. Love the RGS, had a red one, took it to Scotland, brings back memories.
Hope you do. This http://www.elginmotorcycles.co.uk/ may not be current, but worth checking out. Elgin is about an hour east of Inverness. I think you can rent near Edinburgh too. I have realised that I have lots more pictures with Italian bikes in them. We had a rally a few years ago up this way. That darn castle again... This was the view from the hotel we all stayed in on Loch Duich the following morning. I've woken up in worse spots.
Thanks for the link. I'll check them out. I'm also looking at http://www.scotlandbybike.com/ Great pictures! I can't wait to see it all in person.
We were in Scotland in 2006. Was a great trip. The complete picture set: https://gspep.smugmug.com/Travel/Scotland-2006/
