Good idea on the tape storage and kickstand spring.
I have used electrical tape to hold the shift link ball joint together and it worked well enough to finish the trip.
Also lost a kickstand spring doing some off-roading and spent a long time on hands and knees backtracking to find it. It was covered in dust and almost missed it. A spare is a good idea! Was lucky to find something to lean the 900 lb bike against while fitting the spring.

I used zip ties, twice because I'm dumb and didn't learn. Heim joint ends now :thumb I seem to smash my kickstand springs, they stay attached but don't spring anymore. It's nerve racking stretching the new spring on while the bike leans on a tree for sure :-)

All it takes is money. Removed everything from the rear fender and went with Custom Dynamics LEDs. Relocated the marker plate to remove the factory rack.

I do not have the self control required to ride my Road King on gravel without dickin' around and getting it sideways. I've tried.

Does that tail light from Custom Dynamics have a top clear option. I prefer the licence plate on the rack and out of view of the cameras

I added a liner to the tourpak and a organizer that attaches to the lid. I can recommend them both.

Anybody have the Custom Dynamics Halo DRL Passing Lamps? I was riding into work a week ago out in the country and a fellow in a 1975 Chrysler ran a stop sign and pulled out in front of me. I haven’t had anyone do that in well over a year after I installed the Halo turn signals. I’m not certain it would have made any difference. I think he was focused on the car behind me and I might have gotten lost in the pixel noise going on in his brain. It wasn’t a serious issue because my spider sense told me early his closing speed was not decreasing (perpendicular paths).

The CD Halo DRL’s are $199 and, while I don’t ride often at night due to deer in my area, I could use the extra lumens.

Elvis got the brake fluid flushed on Friday. The independent shop had the software to cycle the ABS system. Also changed the crankcase oil with nearly 5,000 miles on it.

Has anyone changed their hydraulic clutch fluid? I don’t recall it being in the service table.

The rear bar holding the OEM tail lights and license plate holder losened up a little bit - both bolts. I tightened them up with a small socket driver and socket.

Here’s another picture of Elvis on tour last weekend.

Do you know what software they used? If you don't could you ask? I'd like to pick that up for personal use.

Does anyone know if LED turn signals will screw up the flasher timing?

You may need to add a ballast resistor.

I have the CD LED turn signals front (halo) and rear. They are plug and play. The CD rear filler LEDs require a BCM setting change to be multi-mode.

You'll need to let the BCM know it's an LED via the digital tech. 5 minutes at the dealer.

    Yup

Just had the dealership do all three F/R/C as it has been a couple years. IIRC it was listed in the maintenance schedule table in the service manual (haven’t looked in the owner manual) as a 30K mi thing or some such.
