Static recuperation with a steady beer intake can do that to the best of us :freaky

Curious about your progress, Rob. Also, with your shock relocation did you change the shock length and/or spring rate? I'm giving my bike some treatment and am thinking of this.

Same length, but by tipping it forward you increase the swing arm rotation length. But when you do this, you create more leverage on the shock, so you have to go with a stiffer spring. That change depends on your weight and the wieght of the bike.

Ok, that's kinda what I thought. It looks like there is plenty of room to move the upper shock mount to where you'd need it and at the same time lift the bike to the height you want. I might make a bolt on lower shock mount to play around with the geometry and shock leverage.

Looking forward to seeing progress on your bike! Lojack

Hey what ever rocks your boat. As long as it has two wheels and makes angry noise when you twist the throttle it's all good.

450XCW has killed all momentum on this project. Although, I'm not riding much (at all) these days anyway...

Great thread, pity it's been nearly dead for 5.5 years :D
Terrific mods, but mostly the skid plate and side stand seem applicable to doing on my bike used for touring too.)
