I would be very careful about mounting a GRP tank without very careful rubber mounting. Its also not a great idea to rely on tank "sealers" to prevent damage by modern fuel.

Main thing here though, is to sit on the bike and make certain the riding position is suitable for what you want to use it for. Something thats fine for race use, will be far from ideal for a road bike, unless its only going to be ridden very short distances.

Its rubber mounted, no modern fuels here in Denmark, so I'll fine. Loads of people run fiber tanks and they're fine :)

I hope to be doing the monoshock conversion next weekend, along with other bracketry.

Looking for a quality racing killswitch now!

Trying to be a badass, but shows the general riding position.

You seem to be as bad as Michael Jackson in his music video, and even worse, hahahahaah! :rofl

The position seems a little too sporty to me , but if you are ok with it, enjoy it!

    I'm loving your build!

So.. what colour will it be with this new tank and tail?
Have you thought of yellow and black ?:evil

It is sporty! I plan to race this bike at some point, when I have the bike as I want it :) I still have a T500, which can handle everything else besides short sprints or days on the track :)

For paint I might just let it be, it being a track bike. Maybe stickers like this.

Nice build project. Love the tank

Those monoshock setup are awesome, I hear they take a while to setup the brackets.

I have built a few RD's and the never get boring to do.

I might be simplifying it in my head, but it's only two small brackets. I just need to get the correct ride height and maintain the 95mm suspension travel.

Yes that is what takes a little time getting the location for that bracket to get your pre-load and sag set, but it can be done.

I have wanted to do that to one of mine just dont trust my own welds..:-)

And contrasting with a book to make it easier to cut the shape with a program such as Photoshop or something like that...

Hope it helps a little with your bike!
    Greetings!

That'll be a hell of a lot easier than trying to figure out the linkage AND spring-rates.
