At least he's with another 640A. Riding with any other kind of bike it's almost impossible to use the 640A's range because hardly anything else can match it.
    "Time for another fuel stop!"
"What? My 640 is just getting maneuverable!!"

Yeah, this thread is “Real Photos of a KTM 640 Adventure”, and I swear that I didn’t photoshop these pics. My buddy and I really did stuff my 640 in the lower compartment of a 40’ 5th wheel trailer. My bike hitched a free 500 mile ride (halfway to my suspension guy’s shop). All I had to do was remove the front fairing and then cinch the front suspension down, and then we slid it right in!

Thought I would share my fine looking girl.

I’ve never taken her off road. And I am even willing to sell her. Has less than 10,000 miles on her. A fine 2007.

    She’s my Sunday driver.

    Spare fuel can mate. Required.
Anecdote : Shortly after that point we stopped to put that fuel in the tanks. @ADpete's tin had only just pin-holed where it was bouncing against the standard rack, we were sooooo lucky he didn't lose his fuel eh. Close call. We got to our fuel-fill destination with less than half a gallon left.

We needed that extra gallon-plus to make the distance to the next fuel stop, which we had to ring ahead to verify they actually had fuel on the day. That sign to the National Park in the photo, you can't even get water there, there's literally nothing available. Anywhere.

There's wall-to-wall fuck-all in the Aussie outback.:nod "Remote" doesn't come close to describing it.

Hey GodSilla, do you mind if I use that quote? But you are wrong, when I was there, there was dead things everywhere!! I never rode after dark.

Help yourself and you're welcome, you won't be the first one to steal a quote.

Yeah, lots of deadies. I almost cleaned up a wombat last Friday night in my truck, they don't look too big but by crikey they can take out the underside of a vehicle, they are solid bastards.:nod And fast too.

It's good to see you have regained your sanity. The 640 is a killer bike, both of my 2003's burned to the ground but I got another one (2004) which belonged to the late great @Gwilli, a fine bike and a memento of a fine bloke.

Here he is with bike and @ADpete (right)
