Yes, very disappointing to lose that one, it was a barrel of fun once I got it sorted. I've got another one, the late great @Gwilli's bike, an orange one fro 2004, and I have motard wheels for that one too.
FFS's GodSilla, you could have used duct tape and saved the expensive zip tie for a pristine street bike! WTF were you thinking??? Cheers
How about a photo of where my 640 went? This puddle was up to the seat and a little slippery under there.
Just got the 05 motor installed; was at a friends for months (pandemic suxs). Trucked it home because my feeler gauges were here. Now I need to adjust valve lash, dump oil and filters, then reload and - get it dirty.
I understand you guys are getting hit pretty hard with the pandemic, I'm sorry to hear that. The response here from our leaders was to listen to the science and go early and go hard, and it seems to be working up to this point. Severe lockdowns and contact tracing have worked for us, along with a bit of luck too I suspect. I hope your new motor is as smooth as the 2003 one. Happy trails.
I accidentally ran over a red-bellied black snake a couple of weeks ago with my ride-on mower. You might think that would be cause for celebration as they are poisonous, but I was quite sad really because they are mostly timid and also keep away the aggressive brown snakes which are even more poisonous. I have almost trodden on both kinds around my house. A terrier-style dog is good to keep them away, and our old cat used to like to box them like Bruce Lee for entertainment. Don't get me started on paralysis ticks and spiders.................
I think i bought that yellow Arai helmet somewhere around 2004ish?...well past its pull date for sure. When i bought it, it was on the super clearance bargain basket rack at the local moto shop. The helmet was so fugly looking that no one would buy it....which was the exact reason why i bought it. I knew if whenever i wore it, my riding buddies would always be able to easily identify me with that yellow helmet on. There was no way anyone else who would dare to commit a fashion faux pas like that. Over the years the color has quite grown on me though. I really need to retire the helmet, but i'm finding it difficult to do so. It's like were old friends now. Well, except for the fact that every time i slam my head while wearing the helmet it hurts quite a bit!
