Thanks to EC for arranging this. Thanks to Rich for the spirited ride to Moody’s diner, what could be better. Don’t get me going about the hearth baked pizza. Always a good time to catch up with you folks.
A great event to close out the season here in New England.

As to biking other destinations during the off season or where ever you may fancy.

If you are wondering or needing advise to beg, borrow, steal, ship, export, import, and rent bikes.

Or wondering about bike travel in other locals feel free to PM me for help or maybe I can point you in the right direction.

I’ve helped a few of you, made this offer to some of you and just wanted to put it out there for the rest of you.

Also a few of you requested some info and or pics of some destinations we discussed at the fireside chats. I’ll post up some follow up pics at the Maine thread for the rest to see.

It’s a big world out there ride it... B030F134-A919-487B-BA29-2F37835E19A1.jpeg

Truth is that I was pretty embarrassed, pissed at myself, and bummed about not riding, but it's always mostly been about seeing all of you FF's, laughing around the campfire ,and even morning wood.

I'm really bummed that I missed another great weekend with all of you. The only upside is the roof isn't leaking, (yet).

I want to make a suggestion, and I'd like feedback from all: why can't this crowd organize two more events in early - mid season? After WHG pulled the plug on the open house and barbecue, the WHACO run evaporated. Maybe this could be revived, sans WHG. And another event way down north: NEK, North Woods?

    Thoughts?

All for it but I must say that I am not a fan of the Conway area nor a 'family' campground that has issue with late night frivolity.

Agreed. I was thinking of the ride in general, not the starting point. I'm not a fan of Winnebago Alley either.

Always liked this place for some reason but it is a haul for the Maine folks...

Not sure how any campgrounds are going to deal with "night frivolity" unless thy have a spot like we had this weekend - away from the rest of the campground or we catch them before they open.

Didn't PWRCRSR lead the way on the first one? To the woods road that didn't exist? (In the GPS database from Hell) . Where I ran out of gas? :wave

I was thinking last night of throwing Jamaica out there, early season they seemed ok with our "Social Hour"

Yes Art, that dirt road still dead ends and I still remember you coasting down that hill out of gas :)

I would be happy to help put something together next May or early June. Honestly depends on my spring trip dates
