I was up there on 36 a couple weeks ago. Is the fire still going I heard about in the area?

I swung up to Red Bluff from Chico last Thursday on my F700gs to hit one of your stores... does that count? Lately my dedicated rides have been up towards Almanor and Quincy.

O.K. I am thinking a real sign in. I may put up some kind of sign in Board. My mind is still working on the perfect location and type.
I am talking about somewhere just off North Main here in Red Bluff just over the Rail road tracks.
    I will keep you posted.

How about right under the famous 36 sign? That is where most gravitate to.

I don't know which on is the Famous one ? are you talking about the one that has a curvy arrow and says next ? Miles. Or the Fortuna ? miles.
I have to go look if there is room for a safe pull over at the Arrow sign. I think maybe a metal box screwed to a post. something I can open and retrieve the cards/tags. Then post them up on here somewhere.
has anybody anyplace else done this ? successfully.

The one with the curvy arrow and says next 167 miles or whatever. That is what I always see posted on MC forums.

O.K. I looked yesterday. The curvy arrow sign has been moved to a great spot that is safe to pull over at. It has a tree about two feet behind it. perfect spot. I will find a box that locks and bolt it to the tree. Stay tuned.

Yeah, there is a visitor's log in a box at the memorial for bomber crash site in Fields. Dang if I didn't forget Hodakaguy's instructions to sign it and post up pics of the log when I was there last month though. doh!

Now if you lock it, what is it, a drop box? You want I put a fin in there for your new bike fund? :-)

Hide it gooder and no lock needed, visitors could post up pic from time to time.

Bob and I rode out to the Bomber Crash Site once,it was 107 that afternoon and both bikes were puking water out and did not want to go up the last climb.

The sign in box on 36 sounds good, backside of the tree with the ADV sign?

I don't have a box yet, sign the back of the sign with pencil provided. I am still thinking about box ideas. A picture posted here would be best, showing both ADV sign and the arrow sign.
Going to try it and see if it works. Like a Tag-o-rama that doesn't move. I also want to make it more visible from the opposite direction. I also can recommend this as a good pirate camp site. Turn in between Tracks and 36. Go North behind gravel piles and under RR tracks.
