out of curiosity, how many miles do you figure you've ever ridden ?
And what percentage of those miles were backtracking miles?

i told robin thats the first vehicle we've ever owned with leather seats........ with that many wheels
i've read this several times
thought about back when i had a 2stroke elsnore and riding it form hayesville nc to andrews for work
then trips from durham back to purple hazeville on the /5
charts, graphs and maps
a trip to the beach on a /2 with my brother when one cyclinder went out & we rode it on home anyway (dumbasses)
2 different years with no other vehicle besides the /5
when wifey moved in i didn't have a car or truck
thoughts of having a metal milkcrate bungied on the back of the /5 with my tool bag in it
working all over the ATL
one morning i'm riding in & i hear ding.........ding..............ding
i look back and the milk crate is hanging on by one bungie and bouncing off the ground
i stop and fix that walk back using a zippo lighter and find most of my tools
too bad one of the nails had punched my tire when i came back
chain it to a pole
find a pay phone wifey (gf at the time) comes gets me
fix it that night after work, cop stopped by and was sorta pissed wanting to know why we couldn't do this in the day time
emmm, how many miles
years before that i was coming back from helen to hayesville on ladies night
i stopped at the bottom of the mt, and pulled on some gloves and the bike died
i pulled the headlight apart tring to get it fixed
put it back together
chained it to a pole, slept beside it
the next morning i thumbed to work
called dad, he went and got it, when he got it home and started to try to figure out what was wrong.
he noticed the battery cable was loose
( i told ya'll i was a dumbass)

opps, back to how many miles have i rode..............
and i ponder

how many trips to daytona
there was trip to the worlds fair with my folks
& old 2 stroke kaw
robins first big motoscikle trip to china

trips from the ATL to hayesville and waynesville almost at least every other weekend for a while
i've never had adult year with out a mc
running mc thats a different story
i'm still think'n
the old elsinore
working in south carolina, north carolina, alambama, tennesse, then riding home on the weekend
plus riding around after work
oult and oult plus 3, minus 100, times 12, .............
bike nights, late night rides for no reason
chasing girls who werent there when i got there
chasing girls who wanted to ride somewhere else when i got there
bad bands, sunrises and sunsets,
it all adds up
sold bikes for a short skit, demo rides
ok ok i'm thinking
ya know i've killed a lot of brain cells so math is hard
oh it's took a lot a miles to get the tubing pic's
trips to see my ma maws

as i pondered this today
rained out this morning not so bad this afternoon
i decided a little ride on the /5 might help
when the bastard didn't want to crank & a bump on the chrome slug fired it right up
i decided to ride the slug
we rode by dead people thinking about the past and miles
i pondered miles
i passed santa stuff
& old gas station that i've passed a hundred times and just realized it use to be a gas station
