A line from Deschutes Brewery web site:
I'd go in on a keg. Their current offerings, http://www.deschutesbrewery.com/brewery/brew-pubs/bend-pub/bend-whats-on-tap/default.aspx

Some plans just don't work out. I thought I'd get up your way for some fall color, but I blinked. I mean it is in the 90's here! Hardly fall like weather ... I left it too late. I was sorry to have missed D2D ... By the time they fixed my electrical problem there just wasn't enough time to make a run for Dawson City from Jasper. I'd probably have gotten there just in time to see everybody leaving. Another time.

I did use your route going south, thank you: down the Ice Fields Pkwy; Revelstoke; Creston; night in Cranbrook; on through Crowsnest Pass and over Going to the Sun Road; ending at Kalispell. Much different from my usual.

I'll keep an eye on this thread just incase there might be some interest in a keg. I agree the half mile is a bit much but Bend has some good food to go with their brews. I'll need that walk.

Excellent information. I'm thinking we put the keg in the back of DDick and Jo's Miata Chaser for easy transport to and from the grounds. Plus we'll have a DesiDriver for folks staying off campus.
I like the way this is shaping up.
The toughest part will be coming up with a consensus on favorite flavor.
    Particularly among Team Pterodactyl !
They all sound extremely inviting. Fite

I agree, but why just one? I'm looking at a CA chain's, Bevmo, list of over a 135 some beer kegs available in 5.0, 7.75, 13.2 and 15.5 gallon kegs. Everything from Alaskan Amber to Young's dbl Chocolate Stout. I'll bet I find some variety in Bend. My opinion, I think IPA's are really overrated.

Mike, I remember circa 1970 riding to Stonehenge on a new Norton 750 and spending the night in a sleeping bag among the stones. I woke up in wet sleeping bag ... so much for a mystical experience.

All wedding related events will be held at a lodge outside Missoula Montana. Not sure of the date of rehearsal dinner. I will be scheduling a bake sale soon to pay for what is becoming a very expensive event. I know I can count on Team Pterodactyl to consume mass quantities.

We've never been to an MOA event though I've had a K1100 (and wife's R100RT) in the fleet since the mid-90s. Both bikes have ALCAN miles. Used to go to the Northern Riders rally in Houston and enjoyed it. Now have a K12GT that is yelling for a long ride, so any excuse will do. In fact we're IN for the 2010 D2D, haven't done a D2D and never been to Dawson so am looking forward to that.
What is the MOA International Rally like and what are the activities that occupy a four day event? It sounds like the Alaskan contingent will have a few gatherings to sample local brews?
