    When?

    2,3,4 August 2019

    Who is this event for?

This official ADVRider Rally event will be for all types of street legal dual-sport motorcycles but we are also putting a particular emphasis on the Honda Africa Twin. This event is about having fun first and foremost with like-minded adventurers in one of the best settings (Gunnison) for adventure riding. We will be soliciting vendors of all kinds as well as Africa Twin specific vendors. We have some commitments already and are working on more! We anticipate hosting a raffle for donated product where all funds generated will be donated to our chosen non-profit recipient.

    Who we are?
RMAR was the first AMA sanctioned ADV rider club in the USA. We are a non-profit organization. All funds in excess of our overhead costs will be donated to other non-profit OHV friendly organizations fighting for our rights every day. We have identified The Gunnison Valley OHV Alliance of Trailriders GOATS https://www.gunnicbgoats.com as one of the primary beneficiaries of the event. They are the local non-profit that maintain 500ml of trails, along with COHVCO, the Trails Preservation Alliance, or Ride with Respect as possibilities.

The Mission of Rocky Mountain Adventure Riders (RMAR) is to:
    1. Positively Impact and Influence the lives of those that ride with us, respecting each other and supporting one another.
    2. Promote Dual-Sport/Adventure Motorcycle Events in the Rocky Mountain Region with a focus on responsible and respectable behavior and riding on our public lands and in the local communities, adhering to all AMA policies and requirements.
    3. Support fund-raisers for state and/or local trail riding clubs or Associations/Coalitions/Alliances that champion our sport and/or fight legislatively/politically for public land access for motorcycling.

    VENDOR LIST
If you are a vendor and would like to be a part of this, hit us up! These events are greater success with supportive vendors.
Please support these vendors, they support YOUR sport and help us fight for the cause.

Butler Motorcycle Maps is what you use if your an ADV rider. They are waterproof, tear proof and have extremely high levels of detail. In addition they are embracing going digital and partnered with Rever to provide that flexibility. I still like the have that map in my hand in addition to my digital tools. Maps don't die or need to be charged. These maps also indicate the BDR's, dual sport roads, climate and the elevation profiles are great. Always supporting ADV events, we appreciate the support guys!

    CAMPING AND LODGING

    Base Camp Gunnison KOA
    https://koa.com/campgrounds/gunnison
    105 County Road 50, Gunnison, CO 81230
    800-562-1248

You have to reserve your own camping spot. We have learned that it is a logistical disaster to coordinate this ourselves. So just book yourself however we do have a few single rider camping spot that we reserved.

The event area is inside the
blue square below. We can fit a max of 125 people into that designated area. If you get a camping spot it can hold up to 4-5 people so please offer the space up on the post and charge your "renters". We recommend $20 for the 2 nights but that is up to you.

If you want to reserve in the
blue square area close to HQ, just insert that you need a spot with RMAR Group in the "special instructions" box when you check out online. You can call them but you might wait a few days to receive a call as the camp is semi closed for winter. You can book 100% online, its the easiest way to do it.

With that being said outside the blue square there is no need to mention RMAR or the rally name, you are just a visitor and will be participating in the event.

The following camping spots are for (1) person on a motorcycle and up for grabs for $20 for the two nights. Just reply that you want to reserve it and I will add your name next to it. We did this to grab a few spots to reserve the area before the general public books it. Check in with Ward at the event for direction.

    The riding options are amazing!

We’ll have maps and share some options with you to explore on your own or friends.

The area has its own GPS enabled App called CBGTrails (CrestedButteGunnison)

    https://www.cbgtrails.com/map

The Avenza App is also a GPS enabled app and you can download tons of trail maps including free USDA Forest Service MVUM maps.
