Yeah, 50 years of playing guitars 5 professionally, acoustic fingerstyle, electric, lap steel, 20 years of manufacturing guitars and a U.S. patent. I shall defer to your wisdom in the future.
I apologize for condescending a bit to you I wasn't aware of you resume .
You lost your credibility failing to attribute Grateful Dead poetry to the authors ! Fuck off if you like !
Maybe he assumed most would instantly recognize that.
Thats why I put up my post for the younger blokes.
Not sure you read that.
Also posted a photo of the group when they were heading for the fast lane and some didn't make it past 40 years.
No real requirement to suggest he fucks off, uncalled for.
And maybe you should grow up a bit old man and Man Up.
Wouldn't you know it.
Seems at the moment we are getting on top of this bastard thing.
We are now out of lock-down and non essential travel has been lifted.
Yesterday I decided I would bring in some firewood for the wood-burner ( its beginning winter down here) before going for lunch with a few mates at a Pie Shop about 2 1/2 hours ride away from here, and I seem to have rolled my left ankle carrying an armload of firewood.
Cant walk properly, or rotate my foot. Shuffle along like an old mans hobble and no chance of shifting gears.
So it was RICE for me with a book while those buggers went riding, Philistines!
Trying to grow old disgracefully.
I deleted a recent post expressing dismay over the "flaming" going on in this thread … because on second thought, I think I might just be too new (or too unsophisticated) to understand the under-currents on here.... Hack rig guys seem to have their own language, a language I haven't mastered … and perhaps never shall ….
Nothin' left to do but smile, smile, smile.
Goin on a forum is like swimmin in a river
Every now and again you're going to encounter a nasty little snake
Sometimes a whole nest of em
Shouldn't let it discourage you from havin fun splashin and floppin around
You're living the dream and proving age is all about attitude....keep postin and keep those adventure pics comin....you're an inspiration to us youngins
Some 'round here get their panties in a wad fairly easily and some seem to be good at getting other people's panties wadded up. Don't worry about what someone says to someone else, it's all pretty much "playground smack" anyway. If someone in particular irritates you, you can choose the ignore option and you won't see their shit.
Remember FYYFF and the ADV salute is the rule on this site.
Meh...ignore is for pussies
I like the pic of the Hells Angels though
Yeah, I had you on ignore for a while but I got a lot more entertainment from the dumb ass shit you post, so you no longer hold the position of being the only one on my ignore list, it's empty!
Thanks...I'll be here all week....tip your waitress....try the veal
In the words of my sainted mother; "fight nice boys".
When I act like an asshole, as I have been known to do at times, it has nothing to do with you or anyone else. Don't waste too much energy thinking about it.
That's why I always bring an extra cupcake just in case the shit gets real
Wait, you’ve had cupcakes this whole time??
I pretty much have been out of control on your thread, I didn't like your premise very well, it sounded like you where cheer leading.
At only 70 I'm much younger than you and my life is more about accepting my physical short comings and doing the best I can. I do believe if you stop moving you shorten your life.
As for Metalcarver I made my own trouble there, it matters not we'll never meet and neither of us needs the others approval. I still don't understand why a guy who was a player would build aluminum bodied guitar, but then again I'm one of those that believe solid body guitars are just appliances.
Onward and Forward , I'll behave better !
this Thread is hard to follow with the blank spots
Cheerleading. Yeah, I could be guilty of that … my wife calls me a poster boy for ADHD. Too quickly excited about things, and too quickly bored with the same things …. I know my solo bike days are numbered, and I'm not overjoyed about that, and when I gambled with the Sputnik and had such a great trip on it, I was kind of excited … and prone to cheerlead about it, I guess. I'll temper it some … thanks for your response.
