I did warn you...
... and it was very good to meet you. Travel well.
It was my pleasure to finally meet you.
Isn't Bear and the Big Blue House wonderful?
My turn, real keyboard and all.
First off. Silke. I have a half arsed idea what it takes to get something like this working. I tip my hat, my glass and a shitload of admiration to you. I never met Rick, and it gives me an emptiness having never done so but I think your effort would make him proud.
I also know that it takes a shitload of folks in the background to cook, to clean, to change beer barrels, to plunge feckin terlits. You folks that jump in to help for no thanks whatsoevar. I tip my hat to you as well.
To the rally goers. The folks that pay. The ones with stories and hugs. The ones that make you laugh and reflect. The ones that buy a lobster lamp at a rummage sale 1.5 years ago..... I salute you. You make these rallies more than like minded gatherings.
To Hunter. For finally showing up and nailing the organizer. Virtual high five!
To my friends, both real and imaginary. Ones I've already known and those I just met. Who I know have struggles I doubt I could tackle, The ones who bring a bit of light into your life. A heartfelt and manly hug.
Thank you (and sorry) for making mamalobster feel welcome. She says we need to go back for sure next year. Other than the obvious wedding, one of the most amazing highlights of the weekend was Cigars and Scotch sampling one of Trouts boiled peanuts for the very first time. I don't believe I have laughed that much in the last 15 years.
A special shout out to Smithy for my sons Eagle Scout blade and giving the missus a whole new craft to learn and spend money on. I came home with several more and sharper blades than I showed up with.
Roy, maybe it was me, I was on my way to the bathroom and I saw you and your wife wheeling Rachel Thru the stone and I thought maybe you needed some help… You and your wife are two very special people !
Back home safe n sound.
Did anybody ever locate Mark O?
When I left, I looked everywhere, but could not find him.
my liver hates ya'll
Photo thread Bump
Heya How are you ? Other then your liver is not a happy camper ...
Great shots Jax!
Good riding with you on Thursday
Doing good how bout YA ll
Thanks to those who put all the effort into making sure everyone else has a good time
It's always nice to meet more people and reconnect with others. We missed the wedding unfortunately. Leaving a rally early is a sucky thing to do, but makes for a more reasonable return trip.
Hopefully some more of you will head up to CADVR in August
I'd like to thank everybody that helped me make it through the weekend. I felt like a burden with my bum leg. You folks are the greatest. I'd also like to thank Silke and the crew that work so hard to make this better every year. Rick would be proud.
It was great meeting everyone, I had a great time for the time I was there. Had to leave Friday early afternoon - I had been having some - um - "Gastric" issues that were making camping quite unpleasant. I'm going to blame the beer, as it could not have been Silke's great meals! Not a lot of people around when I decided to leave, so sorry for the mystery exit.
Oh and before you ask, riding a motorcycle with "Gastric" issues isn't any less fun either. ;(
thanks to everyone... especial to the eagle scout eddie bolted for starting a fire in the rain...
I know, right?
Lance thanks for making sure I was fed and beered this weekend. I should have realized something was up on Saturday when I saw that you had combed your hair.
His shirt was too fancy for an RDV.
I told you he didn't look "right"
Sounds like a great time. Sucks to have missed it.
A HUGE Thanks to ALL !! Having attended rallies on the "dark side" of the moto community----this has been the best!! Camping next to a great trout stream, with great folks all around and some of the best roads around was mucho fun. Thanks again to you, Silke, and all your great helpers for a well done event. The food was top notch (the Brisket could be sold in Tenn if you opened a restaurant....hard to find brisket that good this side of TX). Great to meet you all!!
