Wife and I did that a couple months ago when we were up to visit my parents. Found a great restaurant outside Aurora called Pumpkin Hill.

There are also some fun roads between Marathon, Virgil, Hartford, Cortland and Dryden. :ricky

I lived on the lake in Seneca Falls. Used to ride around Cayuga all the time.
One time, I rode with a bunch of guys from the old Ducati dealership in Ithaca.
Did a couple of insane rides in/around the area.

Beautiful up there. I miss it. :cry

I lived in Ithaca in the late 80's - from those four years I have some of the best memories of my life tear assing around the roads up there. I just got a Honda 599 after 19 years in a cage and I live in Sullivan County now. I'll just have to go back and relive the good ole days, I'm sure the area has changed quite a bit from what I remember. But one thing that hasn't changed is the scenary, molto bene...

Thanks for the posts guys. It's not really "home" anymore, but I miss the Finger Lakes. Haven't been back there in nearly 15 years.

Holy Crap, I didn't realize anyone really knew where Ithaca was, let alone that it existed.:eek1

There are some scenic roads around here, a lot of secondary roads ripe for exploration, some gravel and "seasonal highways." Not that great in terms of twisties though:cry

It's really neat to see other people traveling through your home town, that's for sure.

Yep, Ithaca, 25 square miles surrounded by reality.

I'm a bit south west of Ithaca in Corning. I go to the commons occasionally in the summer to watch the freaks :rofl

You need to go ride route 327! One of the few roads with good turns...Tons of great riding there though. Close to Watkins Glen, and lots of seasonal roads/dirt in the Conn Hill/Hector areas.....
