I just dropped off my bike at the shop for it's 14k service and hopefully they fix my jerking...I suspect it is the throttle bodies....

Anyhoo, with a projected reprieve of the weather, I am planning to do a quickey roundtrip to Valdez on Saturday.

Leaving the Palmer Chevron at 9:30am. Leave the Glenallen Tesoro at 12:30pm. Pulling into the Thompson Pass camping area to mount video cams. Proceed to Mineral Creek Road. Grab a photo or two. Freelance ride around Valdez for about an hour and grab a solid meal. Return. I anticipate about an 11 hour day.

Obviously, anyone is invited...this is not a formal group ride...so, ride at your own speed and skill.

I just heard from the shop...and, had suspected this call. I gotta replace my chain and sprocket...so, I am down for the count until next week.

Quote from akphotog: OH....Heli, I though you were going to recommend that KM dumpe her romance with BMW, bought a new wee for $6000 and never had a maintainance problem the rest of her life. Or, did I say that?:lift

    What's this? A maintenance problem? Surely not!:nod

If it is not snowing over Thompson Pass, I plan on doing this ride this Sunday. The only time difference would be to leave the Glenallen Tesoro at 12pm versus 12:30pm. (Jack, you out there?)

I plan on a brisk pace. Anyone is welcome but ride at your own skill/comfort level.

:evil BUT... I wouldn't leave the rain gear at home

9:30 at Palmer, eh? An' yer gonna be riding at "a brisk pace"? Lessee... if I get up at 7, that should give me time for 4 or 5 cups of coffee before I have to head west to meet you... Should be able to make it to Sheep Mt. Lodge before you get that far.:thumb

Yea, raingear is a good precaution but feel confident it will be a stellar day. Yep, probably see you around Sheep Mt. Lodge around 10:30am-ish:D . Will look for you there....

As of 07:00 the clouds are unloading over Glennallen and, from the looks of it, the entire Copper Basin. So the uniform of the day will be raingear.
However... (drum roll, please) the sky off to the south - in the vicinity of Valdez - is much brighter. :clap
The weather poorcaster is still predicting isolated showers today, and partly sunny. :oscar

the skies in Fairbanks/Tanana Valley are Severe Clear at the moment; we'll see 'bout south of Black Rapids... driving up from Wasilly last night was amazing, with Denali casting a sunset like no other. What a hill!
