Got back a few hours ago from the Fish Holes and thought I'd share a couple of pics. Old faithful on the way to the Sorrento ferry Met a mate Jeff with his Tiger 955i outfit and camper trailer Got to the rally site late arvo and set up "trailer trash city" Then it was time to settle in for afternoon/evening drinks, snacks and bullsh*t session. Bushboy did us proud in the tubetoss but hurt his knee and came second, brilliant effort though, his 2nd place prize of 2 cans of Jim Beam soothed his sore knee. Bushboys very nicely set up R1150GS If you ever have the chance to got to a rally with Bushboy, do it. He tells the best jokes, funny bugger. Some very nice machinery on display After the usual rally shenanigans, it was time to head home and face the dreaded "monday return to work"
Looks like I missed a gud un! And it seems you all fell for Caseys "Oooo me knee" ploy Bet he was licking his wounds after you covered it in Jim Beam
All it was a fab weekend. To much beam and sunshine, tyre rubber, the odd tit out (not me but on the ladies) and good people equals a real good bike rally. Yea my knee is sore, bit black and stiff but was worth a laugh oh and the free beam. Got some TLC when I got home. Nice ride from Melbourne on Friday, down the great ocean road, lunch at Lorne, push onto Portland via some really nice road, twisties and the odd speed trap, set up camp at the rally site and popped a top. Rode with Bel (CBR 600) and Doug (VFR 750) Met up with Dave and the GT 750 outfit. Great set up. Bit of a mooch around, talk a bit of sh1t with others, bit more of a mooch, few beers, light the fire, bit more sh1t and a few jokes then off to bed. Saturday awoke surprisingly well. Head clear and sun out. More starting to turn up, Sit in chair with drink and watch them all turn up. Midday saw the Gymkhana get set up, band turns up, watch them set up with the odd mooch around to check out the new bikes and what set up they had. return to tent area to find that some 50 extra tents :eek1 had been squeezed into the same area. Still Ok though. Head back down to watch the gymkhana and decide I have had enough to drink to have a go . I was first up with the dizzy stick, not a good idea and I hit the ground a few times with a few body cracks and clunks. Still good fun. Then Tube toss, did my knee on that one but got second. Good effort as I could have done with stopping drinking some hours ago. Kudos to me!! Sat out the egg toss, barrow race and tug of war, or so I thought when I got roped into it. Was anchor man and we won that as well. One more can of bourbon. Back to tent for dinner on the camp stove, few more drinks. Back to watch the band, tit show, bit of a dance, back to fire at tents, talk sh1t for a few hours then bed. Sunday, awoke well but knee fcuking killing me. Mental note, next time sit down and stay down, bloody fool. Remember last time!!!! but who's gunner listen to me, not myself! Ha Pack up gear to the sound of Harleys being push started, sitting there blip, blip, blip if it wont idle get it tuned... still sound good but you get over it quick. Had to help push one big mother, Flat tattery, Told him to use second or third as on sand but took 4 goes before he listened and away it went. Knob. Catch up with Chris and tell him not to speed on the way home as he might not get off so easy... Chris can tell you all the detail. Head home via Warrnambool, Camperdown, then back road to Inverleigh, pub lunch, back roads into Geelong, M1 into city then onto the hills and home. Barry BMW ran well, back roads got ride of any cobwebs. Top rally, top weather, top people, no ride outs for me, could have done so but 1000K trip there and back was enough. Bring on next years. Photos to follow. Spout, like Princetown but with sun and trees. You would love it. Casey
You lucky, lucky, lucky bastard Dave. Looks like it was a great weekend. Sorry I missed it. Thanks for the pics. Hope to catch up with a few of the usual suspects next weekend at the SR500 rally. Geez, Joffa's Tiger outfit looks very smart don't it !
Hi Brian, yup Joffa's Tiger is a nice thing, and he rides it accordingly. I have a great video of him at the rally site playing in the dirt. I'll burn you a disc of the rally. I won't make the SR rally unfortunately, funds are scarce at the moment. Have a great weekend there!

Great report Dave ! Are y'all making the boxes down there, like on your hack, and the red one, or buying them ready made? If you're making them yourselves, do any of y'all have construction pics of the box.... I'm liking the look!
Kliff, the blue camper box on my GT I made myself, I'll send you some pics of the construction if you wish. The red one on my mates Tiger was made for him at his work. I'm working on another body that will convert to a camper, stay tuned. They both have a heap of room, great for when your travelling solo with just camping gear, fridge etc. TD
Kliff, a couple of shots of the construction of the camper body. And lucky last, a pic showing the Waeco fridge I usually carry. Runs off the bikes battery.
Not a problem at all mate, the more chair pics the better! I got your pm too by the way, and I would be definately interested in what you mentioned. I'll send you a pm shortly. TD
