Adriana Rosas of Lake Weir Living in FL is doing some good videography @ http://www.lakeweirlivingblog.com/

I got a kick outta the interview with Jewel's dad, Mr. Kilcher. He mentions how Jewel and her hubby are motorcyclists.

It's a good day to be alive. :D Mark H.

My ass is way too skinny to pack 400 ounces of gold.
I doubt anyone else has it on hand either.

Riding back from Prudhoe and Inuvik, I saw a whole bunch of theses guys riding up. I did come across one crash, solo guy off the road, and almost saw another bite it on a small gravel section.

Mac stopped by on the way to Homer yesterday. They were in a car and he said he had to finish the trip in Homer. He was in great spirits, looks a bit thinner, surgery to his knee, broke collar bone and some broke ribs. Barb

Thanks for the info, Barb.

Sorry to hear that Mac's ride ended prematurely but I'm glad it wasn't worse. Heal quickly, Mac.

It appears that the people putting on the ride are either incompetent or crooks. If it turns out they are crooks then I hope they can be held at least financially accountable for the death of a rider and the numerous injuries such as these; perhaps they are even criminally liable. If the race is over, then what would justify a guy riding in such a sleep deprived condition?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

I have a bunch of old running shoes with slightly used soles, will that work? Maybe we can split the freight. Barb

Sure is a lot rumbling going on out my back door. Sounds almost like a lot straight pipes leaving my fair town. At this rate, there may not be anybody left for the Banquet. Maybe there will be a dozen or so riders. That could be a couple of riders each for the 6 bands that will be blaring the noise.

The finaly of our parade is the straight piped HD's race up and down the street. From my back porch, I can't see them but sure get to hear them. Guess I may have to take a ride to Anchor Point this evening. Don't know if I could stand the excitment of a bunch HD's making all that din and going nowhere. Oh well, to each his own. However I think I'll have to pass. Since I have old tired ears, I'll leave the festivities to the younger crowd.
