I usually ride solo. From now on, and for many months to come, I'll ride with my pillion footpegs down. RIP Harry.

I was about to ship a girl's jeep with his boyfriend out from Panama to Cartagena. Everything was made through email, contact , booking, etc.. everything was ready to be shipped.
Next , the emails started to bounce back for several days. The return mails showed their inbox full………..never ever the communications went back and never heard of them again .
I 've shipped another guy in his 50's a few years ago too. He was in a rampant rush leave to Colombia on adventure on his bike. The matter is, his wife contact me weeks after he left to Colombia, where he never reported back to her. Time passed and nothing.
The guy was having an affair in Colombia and want to disappear from the face of the earth. The matter is, he left his wife broke, with a mortgage without pay. No funds in the bank and a terrible sad poor wife.
I helped her until the end, we even contacted the American embassy in Colombia. All he did at the end was claiming being riding, no money and praying to god for his life. What a son of ……!!!!

This is a lesson to everybody when they are riding, driving or biking between countries. Leave a word, for good or for bad ,but leave a message of your final whereabouts or decisions.

Most of you are at young age., adventurous and perhaps irresponsible. I was like that perhaps, today I am 57 and adventurous too but with a different eye.

Who knows what happen to this girl. Who knows the details of what happen with Harry. I can just say to all of you, there is a family that care, parents, wife, children, girl or boyfriend.

Don't be a lone ranger in your life. Havecommon sense.

Harry Devert Case: A Mother's Search Ends...
Saturday, July 26, 2014 | Borderland Beat Reporter Chivis
by Chivís Martínez for Borderland Beat
Note: I may write a follow up article, I am allowing Ann Devert to orchestrate if , how much ,or what is shared, with respect to further information. I know readers will understand, it is the least that I can do for my friend. If you are moved to send a message to Ann and her mother, please do so via comments or email, I will be sure she receives them. chivis.martinez@hushmail.com

Earlier DNA results were positive, but not as conclusive to the protocol standard required. The forensics results that Ann was given last night was of a comprehensive 24 match DNA testing which resulted in a 99.9963% match.

Ann Devert's search ends in Mexico City where Harry's remains were transferred from Guerrero.

    Her words today:
"There is no doubt this is Harry, my beloved son, Harry whose life was filled with delight, Harry whose boundless joy grew from the good times he shared with you, his friends, his companions, his allies, his heart. Harry carried each of us in his vast heart. And because there is a place for Harry in each of our own hearts, because that place is Harry's still, Harry is alive because YOU are alive. "ALIVE!, Ma!!!" he would say to me. "How great is that?!!"

"I ache from missing my son who was Life's great gift to me......"

For those wishing to pay respect and celebrate Harry's life:

A New Yorker has traveled back to New York from Mexico.
And so has his Mom. I am now working on the New York service to celebrate Harry's life and his legacy. I will let you know where and when that will be as soon as it is arranged. I'm aiming for it to be Saturday, August 16th, but need confirmation. One thing I am hoping is that everyone present will be part of a group picture in Harry's pose at the conclusion of the service. If those of you who plan to attend could let me know at my email address, that would give me an idea of how many to plan for.
Please keep sending pictures and please know how grateful I am to you for sticking by Harry, by me and by each other.
Friends. As Harry would say, "How great is that?!"
