Love that K-T-MAN bus and matching bus stop and rooftops.

Joel, you need to ask one of your girlfriends to take your picture, then parlay that into a selfie with her. It’s not likely to work if you take her picture first.

If this ends up being your last post, we’ll look for the guys in the above picture.

Your RR is nirvana. Has the language barrier been an issue, or are there enough English speakers ?

no sense of staying in the comfort of my apartment since i don't see any chance the rain will let up. i could get stuck there for a week as far as i know, and riding in the rain is an easy decision.

it was pouring when i left Dubrovnik and just got worse all the way to Kotor Montenegro. sat at the border crossing for 20 minutes in the rain while waiting for my turn. good thing a female border patrol on the Croatian side saw me and wave me to the front of the line. i think the cagers will understand to see someone filtering towards the front in bad weather or hot day.

wtp, the office is closed and i was about to leave when another person told me to go upstairs and there's another company there. luck was still on my side, so got a Montenegro Green Card insurance for 10 euros/5 days.

    hello Montenegro
    [IMG]

took me 3 1/2 hours to my apartment in Kotor, managed to stay dry and warm but my feet were wet. i should have brought a Sidi Adventure Goretex for this trip or switched boots with @Ian.H. should have kept my mouth shut when he took my boots and wore it until i told him they aren't his.

    :y0!

hopefully, i get a break from the weather so i can ride to Lovcen and Durmitor...:tb

    :lol2

    take vids.

no issue at all, English is spoken by a lot of Croatians especially those who deal with tourists. many of them are very fluent and i admire them for speaking more than one language. i heard English and German were being spoken in many instances.

One tip for the Albanian border. I suppose you are going to take the one closer to the sea called Muriqan.
When you get there you should go to the left of the cars, there is a special narrow path between the main building and the barracks for officers made for motorcyclists, bikes and foot passengers where they can go without waiting in the queue with cars.
You should get the Albanian green card as well, don't forget about it.
The path where to go is marked with the red arrow.

    Glad you are doing well.
We loved that area and would go back in a heartbeat. If you have not already done so you must ride P14 through the Durmator. There are a couple of great circle routes.

thanks Mike. Montenegro i can live here for a while. i am planning to do Durmitor before going to Sarajevo.

farthest south for me is Shkoder. i don't have the time to see Berat, Saranda and other places in between.

got a lucky break yesterday at least for about 4 hours on the bike. today it didn't rain but tomorrow there's a strong chance, that sucks since I'll be riding to Albania in the morning. i could have done it today but had laundry getting dried plus other internet stuff and route planning.

Again a great report. A nice preview for me in the upcoming weeks. Like you this weather system is kicking our collective butts. It has delayed me here in Calabria and me trying to head eastward.
I hope to also cross over to Albania in the coming days. I still have a bit to see here in Italy first.

    Safe Travels!!
