If you are looking for twisties and dirt, I would head out on 285 to 50 and go to Montrose, south on 550 through Ouray, Silverton and Durango and on to Farmington. Then you can catch 64 out to Shiprock, take 491 south to Newcomb and then head SW on <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:Street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Red Rock Hwy</st1:address></st1:Street> (BIA-13). Take it to Lukachukai and then to Tsaile and on over to Canyon de Chelly. I would then head kinda south and west on any of the older roads there and make it down to Holbrook and then down 377-277 down to Heber. Head east on 260 to Forest lakes and catch the forest service road NF-512 (the Desert to Tall Pines Scenic Road, mostly all dirt) down to Globe. Catch 60 west over to Superior, then 177 past Kearny and then 77 though Oracle and then down to Tucson!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

I live in Denver and grew up in Tucson… This will take you about 3 days, but it is a very scenic route, with great tarmac and dirt.

Good luck and PM if you have any Q's
