Thank You for the company today and for buying my LUNCH!
Here is a picture of our little group that had lunch today at Sarah's. Starting from the left of the pic: There's Rusty Rocket, bobw, RendezvousRidgeRunnr, SidewinderX, ronniet2466, LizWife of Cheap, SuthernBoy, CheapB, SARAH of Sarah's, Extremenc, wwm66, kickstand, and speedydave. Till next time!.... .
Hate we missed it but coordinating such a large group here Made getting going this morning next to impossible.
Sorry we missed you Ken, hope you guys had a great run! It was a great ride with just a few drops of rain and plenty of critters, Dave was at 300 miles so I guess that would put me at 350 +/- for the day. After lunch we went over through Damascus, 421, 194 through Valle Crusis and then we split up at the bottom of 181. Great to see so many folks and to put names and faces together.
'Till next time
Thing 1, thing 2, thing 3, thing....
Hey, I’m a member of this group. Who knew? Good to see you all today.
What are y'all pointing at? The foggy misty south where we came from or the nice weather to the north - from atop Comers Rock, a nice ride. I'd go back, hate I missed seeing the bear though. I did notice some trees turning color like in the bikes pic.
This shore is fun.
I went back to read some of the front of this thread. Looks like you have road about everywhere I have barring farmland.. lol. A wealth of information. Thanks Extreme! ( Check the attachment for Comers rock info by Extreme.)
It was long overdue to get in some miles with you and catch up, we need to get in more Fall riding too!
Man I hate I missed this. Hopefully next time.

I'm printing this picture and hanging a copy in the barns and out buildings around the farm. It is sure to keep vermin and snakes out!
Next time plan a Sunday ride so I can tag along.
Best used in the garden, or occasionally down your driveway like a Beware of Dog sign....
Highway 16 "Back of the Dragon" makes the New York Times.
WOW! What a great article. Thanks so much for posting this SuthernBoy! All you inmates that don't read stuff. Read This! just a few miles north of Sarah's, by the way....
Ridden it many times, I'm afraid it being not so well known is coming to an end.
That is a lovely Ducati!
Oh wait, was there anything past the picture?
Good read, great find Bob... or is it Brad?!
We were spared damage from Hurricane Michael this week other than a bunch of rain and an immediate change to Fall Seasonal temperatures seeing lows into the 30s(f) in the Smoky and Appalachian mountains. Riding up Mount Mitchell you could really enjoy the changes in conditions...................... Enjoy safe riding, Winter is on it's way so don't waste this gorgeous weather
Took a ride up 25/70 from Asheville to Hot Springs, wandered up Shut in Rd to Wolf Creek Rd, but the way was shut, I could not pass...so after rejoining 25/70 and continuing northward, I crossed the river and turned south on 107, then crossed the mountains via Round Mtn Rd and Max Patch Rd.
Was a nice way to pass the afternoon. No fall colors yet, but excellent temps for exploring!
You’ll find plenty of low-lying secondary/backroads in NWNC are closed or need a bunch of work after this week’s flooding, if you’re looking at riding secondary (especially gravel) roads this weekend then make sure you have a bailout route.
