    I have a sushi recommendation:

    Don't eat raw fish. :imaposer

If you must, you can catch trout in the small streams and just bite into it. :photog

But who am I to judge, I love raw clams and oysters :-)

Stayed at the big Lynn Lodge a couple of years ago. Overall one of the best places I have ever stayed. Great location, fantastic views. Breakfast and dinner that came with the room were very good.

There's a bunch of pics and info of the Big Lynn in my ride report here:https://advrider.com/f/threads/full...-the-rocket-city.647784/page-81#post-35342574

I also stayed at a small motel in Chimney Rock just outside of Lake lure. It was quaint and not too expensive.

Rocky Top is a fun one, don’t miss that. Halls Top is still worth riding for the second half and the tower rd. Crum Hollow (which becomes Bat Harbor) to Log Church gets you the loop onto Rocky Top. I’ve gotten pretty lost over in there a bunch and you’re correct a lot of good roads.

Thread inactive due to constant RAIN! Enough already. Maybe 36 hours of dry tomorrow before Sally comes a knockin’. What a wet year we’ve had. Floods are a serious threat for the mtns. Hang in there everyone

It's been a bit better on the west side. We have had 4 outta the last 5 days, dry in the Johnson city area (or at least not washouts)

Sunday the fog was so thick in Little Switzerland I just had to leave the area to find sunshine. Found it by riding north then west. Came back home and what was sunny turned back to fog and never let up. Sigh

Another weird weather day on the mtn today. Rode to Fast Bike Industries in Hendersonville NC this morning in mist and fog. While there it cleared and was warmer in Hendo, but as I came back towards Marion the dang clouds were still hanging around. Put the liner back in and rode spirited up 226A. The sun never came out on the mtn today. High temp was 55. Ready for that dang Hurricane to move on out and maybe we’ll get some sun

One of our favorites, I am sure I live way closer than anyone else around here, 10 minutes if you run a spirited pace…

I’d like to trailer my bike to the Robbinsville area to ride Cherohala Skyway and The Dragon to do a day ride. Does anyone know a place where I can park a truck and trailer for the day where it won’t get towed?

Call the Chamber of Commerce and tell them you'd like to visit from out of town and wonder where you can park. Also ask about area restaurants and lodging. (even if you aren't gonna use it)
There's often a visitors center or some other spot they will tell you about. I've done that up in Virginia with great success.

I've seen people park at the Cherohala Visitor's center in Tellico Plains. I have parked my truck at one of the big gravel parking areas off of 129 along the lake.
