Definitely great December weather today. I stuck to the asphalt today playing a tag game, but what a great day to ride.

Cheap, the bike looks great! I mean I can't believe some bozo would actually sell that.

:lol3 that's how I felt the first time! Actually don't have the goodies installed yet that I have for it. I got a full set of Globescouts in black for it for future touring... but got the racks powder coated black along with a few other goodies like the rear pegs, etc... :brow

Hoping to get all that installed soon, but had a little spare time this weekend and decided to ride vs wrench. :D But that's one reason I stuck to the pavement, have her cleaned up pretty well and didn't feel like going back through that before the install, yes I'm lazy. :photog

it's a great resource, just be careful of the "bike trails" like Sidewinder pointed out. One day I had mapped out this section and jumped on it for a brief period to realize I was on a bike trail. :lol3

Rode Pinacle Mnt today. The road was a little rougher than normal and a couple of months ago.

Thanks for the update. It is amazing how much that place changes. It seems they work on it often. Doesn’t take long to deteriorate.

So today road Bent Creek, Wash Creek, Yellow Gap then hit a gate at Wolf Ford Horse Camp. Stange thing was there was cars on the other side of the gate. On Forest service site which is incorrect:
    • Yellow Gap Road (FS 1206) from 276 to a mile before North Miles River Campground: Open year around. Emergency closures due to weather or resource conditions can occur at any time.
On on the North Mills River Campground side and much more than a mile to the closure. Anybody know for sure if 276 to Wolf Ford Horse Camp is open? Also if it is, why is this gate closed?
