Nice! Awesome photos, thanks.
Awesome road but what’s “closed but passable?”
I'm guessing pass at your own risk, or somebody went around some barrels.
Either way, it's good info. Thanks
Barriers up marked closed, but upon , ahem, inspection, it was fairly easy to get through the construction zone. It was mainly very large compacted stone.
Here's the video. Starts after the first barriers. Pardon my crappy riding lol.
ain’t nuttin wrong with dat road,
Who do we contact to get them to leave it as is? The sport bike guys have had it their way for decades. Our turn
where is that?
TN, north of Crossville. Looks like fun
Hell yeah it does!
Got out for only the second time really in January yesterday, I’m slackin’.
A guy was flying a remote controlled plane, it was a nice bonus
Good day to ride the bagger, fairing and all.
Yeah it was a tad bit nipply. Beautiful day though.
Fantastic! That must have been fun....
I went up and down a few times for sure. I mean, no traffic? Let's go!!
Yeah, you only passed one other vehicle. Plus they so nicely put a comfort station right there for you. :)
I think us western NC boys may need to do a road trip
Just below Allred , TN., NW of Knoxville TN
Crazy weather today. Left Little Switzerland around noon and it was 66 degrees. Rode west through Madison county, then went through Asheville ( just a few miles on I-240 to get to Fairview). Took Old Fort road off 74 and as I rode towards McDowell county the temps dropped 20 degrees. Glad I had my electrics with me. Last 75 minutes in the mid 40’s until I started climbing the ridge again. Got back home ( 3800’ elevation) and it was 55.
