Hey guys... quick question... I'm planning a ride thru SW VA/NE TN this May and was wondering if we can primitive camp along Government RD? just outside of Damascus?

Stopped by and saw Mark, Janine and the 4 legged hosts today. The place is looking great for a stay. Weather turning better after Wed-Thursday this week. They even told me a bout a good road I had never been on.

I've seen people Primative camped here 36.522269760387275, -82.02558935812293
also there's Little Oak Campground. National Forest camp area that's really nice only a couple miles farther. It's right on the lake and there's "facilities" . It's a more primative type of campground than the usual private campgrounds

There are Several well established dispersed primitive sites right beside TN state route 133 a few miles south of Backbone rocks, maybe 7-10 miles south of Damascus. Lots of bears though when I was there last fall.

it does keep going... I BELIEVE it goes all the way through with crossing a creek and connecting with Trot Valley. Look up Rye Cove Creek Rd just outside of Stuart. :D

Lots of good riding in that area whether you enjoy some dirt road riding or asphalt. :super

Went for a spin to Pee Dee Wildlife Refuge this weekend. The short 15mph wildlife loop is a lot of fun to ride around and look out for wildlife - only saw turtles and egrets this time around.

@Rusty Rocket and I met up with our friend Rick for a day of squiggly lines yesterday, paved and not.

Our meeting location was fun for all 3 of us to get to, from all 3 directions.
