I love the multi-sport adventure. In particular, I like the skiing part.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I did get an unusual number of good pictures on this ride, thats why I'm posting them.
So day six of a week well spent we spent the morning climbing in the Ownes River Gorge,
then met up with my friend Ira for an afternoon moto ride.
We rode north out of bishop up Sliver Canyon into the White Mountains.
At the top there was to much snow so we went back down and rode the single tracks that wind along the base of the mountains.
I was starting to get worn out with all the fun, but it was only Wednensday night, Thursday day 7 was another ski day.
We finished early and it was time for me to head south back to Orange county.
I spent Friday resting and getting ready for the last bit of my vacation. Our mountain bike club was mobilizing up to Santa Barbara for the annual mountain bike ride in that area. 2 days of riding in pretty hot conditions, but the flowers were blooming and the riding was fun, these pictures provided by radsrider aka Bill.

Now it's back to work, but we're going to ride the Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route next week!!
Stunning shots! I rode an ST1100 down from Hood River to Lone Pine late last summer and hiked/climbed The Mountaineers' Route on Whitey (not technical, but I was solo). Your pics are much better with the snow and wildflowers. I'd love to go back with a DS or AT bike sometime and get offroad. I also MTB and do a bit of backcountry skiing, so I'm jealous that you were able to combine all that in one trip. Get in touch if you're ever heading through the Gorge area.
Fantastic photos! Many, many thanks.
that's all i can say. live it.
I assume all this is public land but under what agency, BLM, NFS ??
All of the above plus.
Department of Water and Power.
We're blessed in the west with a lot of public land, and dirt roads everywhere.
You have carped the diem! Fanastic pictures!
Holy cow!! THose pictures are breathtaking! You are one blessed SOB to be playing around in that area! I'm so jealous! lol.. thanks for sharing!!
I dig the way you "vacation". All you need to add is a little whitewater paddling
Great photos, especially the floral shots. That single track also looks like oodles of fun!
