geez - warm, dry stone to haul on, dust free tracks to ride and sliding around the 'coulies' of the spectacular Sierras on a pair of the blue noodles!?!? You win the prize - excellent get-a-way there along with your great photos.
I wish I could do that crazy white water paddleing but, I don't do well with water, unless it's frozen!!
Even that gives me problems sometimes!
That's a nice mount for your ETrex. Mind if I ask your source of that thing?
Awesome stuff DW!
I've been meaning to ride that salt tram loop, maybe on the way to or from WMRS this year. Which direction would you recommend on a big bike (950A)?
Thats a RAM mount taylor made for the Etrex. They make mounting brackets for all kinds of electronics.
I didn't like the long arm that most use, so I mounted it derictly to my handlebars using so old handle bar clamps.
These pictures don't show the mount real well, but you get the idea.
Awesome report and great pictures. The east side of the Sierras are so dramatic and the elevation from the valley to the peaks are unmatched. I want to do this loop and hit all these foothills.
BTW...you have the perfect bike for this. Did you do most of the ride solo? I couldn't tell from the sequence in pictures.
did you take some sort of course called "How to take mind blowing photos" ???
Yes, I was solo for two days while riding through Death Valley and along the Sierra foothills. Then I spent an afternoon riding with friend north of Bishop.
Awesome pictures, Thanks. I know it's been awhile since you did this trip but do you have any gps routes I could have ?
Awesome trip... thanks for taking us along !
Sure PM me.
