I can think of no better way to spend my time off while recovering from carpal tunnel surgery. I'm mowing through ride reports and just have to make this ride this summer. If you have the GPX tracks in a file, please send them my way! This is a 'must ride', and right next door to me.

    Thanks again!

If at all possible, I would like a GPS track as well. Thanks, great report.

Freezing my nads off up here in Montana. Your trip report helped me escape reality and revisit a place I hold fondly. Alls I have to do is pull up an Alvord/Nevada trip report and feel the hope of change.
Love that expansive country. Sure we will cross paths some day down there.
    Until that time, Thanks.
    Happy Holidays.

This awesome ride report, as well as the incident at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge have inspired me to FINALLY explore this amazing area this summer. I have July 15 - 24 open. Who's in?

Greetings Hodakaguy. I have really enjoyed reading your two ride reports on your trips to the B24 crash site outside Denio, then your loop down to Soldier Meadow and through High Rock Canyon to the Mail Caves. Your group's placement of the memorial at the crash site was truely honorable and a fitting tribute to those airmen who gave all for their country. Thank you for doing that. My riding buddies and I are contemplating a similar trip to the area later this year to enjoy the history and scenery. I was wondering if you would mind sharing your GPX tracks with me? Also any suggestions on the ideal months for weather or other interesting must see local history would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Send me a PM and I'd be happy to go over some details. Spring is the nicest down there as everything is green but you run the chance of cold weather and greater risk of getting muddy/wet. There is a lot of cool things to see down that way!

Yes sucked me back in. I read this and the memorial RR years ago and happy to read this one again. The PICs are timeless and great.
