Lovin the RR so far! Dunno if you're using tentspace on your trip or not, but if travel your plans have you overnighting in Prince George, hit me up! Acreage outside of town with plenty of lawn for tenting, and a spare room if you'd like a reprieve from the tent setup/takedown routine (and the mosquitoes!). Subscribed!

Sat down. Looked at the menu.
    Sausage omelette.
    20190625_085512.jpg
    Looked appealing.
    Hot dogs from Walmart. Cold.
Picked all the cold hot dogs out.
    Totally Chacho'd the rest.

Usually hot dog pieces like that have a pill stuffed in one of them. I already had my pill this morning.

No shoes for Kate. Not today.
    15614884972414603160848883274237.jpg

She's looking at me around the corner.
I told her she'll get new shoes soon.

Sitting under a tree. Relaxing. Chilly today, but pleasant. A needed day off.

I get to study my 'information'.

The name Merge has French-Swiss origins with a Latin twist. Closest English translation is Micro or Mini. The g in Merge is pronounced like the j in dijon. Kinda sounds cool.

    Let's all say it together.

    Merge.

    Very good.

Merge Johnson, from Texas, is a retired farmer.
Lots of land. Corn. Every other year.
Mother was French. Father was in politics.

Aggie fan. Loves Friday night football. Drives a suburban, of course. Republican.

Gotta stop and smell the flowers.

Even though I just got dog groomed, needed to get a Texas haircut.

Came in to Dave's Bar & Grill.

    Howdy.

    What's your name?

    Merge.

    That's unique. Sounds made up.

    Whattle you have?

    Whiskey. Meat. Potato.

You got it. You from Texas?

Yep. Got the rang to prove it:

So, uh "Mr. Johnson", interesting tent set up there...what kind of cot are you rockin' in there? Seems quite tall, which gives lots of room for gear underneath.

    Please, call me Merge.

My house is another prototype. Perfect for Forestry Service Personnel. Designed for commercial use. I have the 4 leg version. The 5 leg version is really beefy.

Since I'm not selling it to the consumer market, I can tell y'all about it.

    90" cot. 25" high. Canopy 60" high.
    Entire system: 26lbs.
All packs into a 20"×11"dia duffle bag.
    Canopy reversible fabric. White/dark gray.
    4 feet of front porch.
You can hang stuff in here.
    3D modeled / designed.
    Dog friendly. I should know.

Can be coupled two or 4 cots under 1 canopy. Different canopy, of course.

I'm field testing it this summer.
System has progressed nicely. Really comfy. I hate sewing.

Alright, alright, alright. (In that east Texas accent)

Trying another omelette. Mad cow. Angry cow. No.
    Stupid cow.
    20190626_080501.jpg

Looks like Chacho. With bigger ears.

Let's hope it's Mr. Omelette approved.

    Tore that breakfast up.

Heading to Kalispell, MT today. The twisty way. I'll snap a few photos.

Looks like tomorrow will be wet.
    I'll determine my route accordingly.

Rough plan was to cross the border Thursday. Might be Friday. Gives me an extra day to study. The 'interviews' go better when I answer the questions well.

Oh those Canadians will let you in, Eh! It's coming back into the U.S. you need to study for. Crossed the Border last Saturday on my little dirt bike and I thought they were gonna strip search me and do a body cavity search because I said I had 2 6 packs of Canadian cider I was bringing back!

Yeah I have thing for Canadian cider! Don't know how they do it, but a 7% cider that tastes just like an apple is purely amazing to me! Okanagan Valley ciders are the best I've ever had!

    Yeah, you would think.

If you're going to Canada for tourism, no problem. Once I was going to Vancouver to attend a week-long professional seminar, and they decided that was "educational", and for that I needed a student visa to enter!!! After only 1 hour of discussion, they decided to let us in, after I stressed the touristy things we were planning on doing. Next time, I said "Just on a little holiday, sir."

Incredible...bureaucrats and bureaucracies are scarily similar across all cultures. Can't trip their trigger or they go crazy.

Rolled into Kalispell. In the shoe store parking lot. 1759 hrs. They just closed. Darn. That time zone thing. Montana time.

Kate pouted a little bit. Told her to cheer up we'll be back in the morning when they open.

Was a beauty ride to get here.

Googled steak houses. No joy. Stumbled across this place. Not having the steak.
    Halibut has been chosen.

Appetizer is worthy of a few Gordon Ramsey bleepity bleeping delish comments.

It may depend on that particular agent on that particular day.

I was coming back thru in NY in a car. Rental. Just visiting a friend. They kept me there an hour.

That clear-wrapped bundle of oregano on the roof probably didn't help.

Told them I just popped three 'blue' pills and was ready for the "search". That's when they told me to go. Hurry. Go! Get outta here!
