Took an howa to set up my house and bed and wash/rinse Kate.

She just wants to be alone while her hair dries. I toller I'd be in the bar. I'll throw chain lube on later.
    20190702_191058.jpg

Good ride so far. She is much better on oil consumption than Husky was.

I've only added 100mL since 1st service at 3,700 miles ago. Chain looks good and counter shaft seal still great. Thanks Grant!

Tire wear is nominal and I've been riding 90% pavement.

The fact that this is a rather powerful 360 Lb dirt bike, it handles the road well in demanding situations.

I like the simplicity and agility of this machine. I could do without the wooden seat.

This bike is for only a few types of riders.
I take this bike to far away great places only few know about. My ride style and physique dictate what kind of bike I can ride. A light weight one.

For me, the annual improvements KTM incorporates on the 690 are great.

    'ceppin the seat.

    Ok inmates.....gonna need some help.

    1st.
Has anyone recently reserved the University of Alaska Fairbanks dorm online? I have a login and can log in, but it asks for some code to continue.
    Screenshot_20190702-200736_Samsung Internet.jpg
Don't know how to get the code. It's not emailed to me. It seems like an invite to register into the dorms.

    2nd.
Way more important...need some info on good restaurants in Whitehorse.
Non-combative eating. Imma take a day off and put new shoe(s) on Kate. Shoes!

    Dave.

Spent a week in Whitehorse waiting on parts for the LandCruiser the kid and I took for a drive. Did not get out of the hotel across from the museum. It rained. The hotel had a bar and a restaurant. All I needed.

I just put a Seat Concepts on my 701E. I had serious misgivings when I first sat on it, but I'll admit that it's much better a few hours into the ride. It doesn't feel more comfortable, but it is...

    The transportation museum. https://goytm.ca/
The airplane on display out front is on a swivel and changes position depending on the wind.
The Airport Chalet was home for a week waiting for the clutch slave hose to arrive from, where else?, California. Had to be flown in to us.

    Enjoying your ride.

Sang the bus song some today. Thanks tag3.

Sitting in Toad River grabbing an elk burger. No mayo. Alotta combative tourists.

Got gas and paid with $100 bil. Girl at the counter was teasing me, said got anything bigger? I pulled out the wallet, she had googly eyes. Couldn't stop staring.

I have a custom wallet. It's dressed tightly. It has credit card toe. I stuff napkins in there for extra effect. Drives the girls crazy. Wallet!

Good riding day. Only 120km left to the hot springs. Hope I get a spot.

While I was gassing up, a couple of Dr. Condescending's students riding matching ultra-geezer stratobarges opened with a snide remark. Didn't answer.

    Liard Hot Springs.

    The best.

Had some quality Zen time 9pm last night.

    14 degrees. Raining.
    Absolutely perfect hot tub weather.
    20190703_215721.jpg
Stayed in there an howa, at least.

Still looks like a pastrami sandwich, to me.
    20190703_205354.jpg

In the lodge having a few dozen coffees. Omelette was so so.

I recognize my fellow diners from the hot tub last night. They look differently clothed.

Just packed up camp. Rolled casually to the gas pump.
    20190704_110029.jpg
    Doh!

Splains why there wasn't the usual line at the pump.

Chatted with the gentleman there over a refreshment. Sat in the chairs a while. Talked bikes. and stuff.
    20190704_112526.jpg

Proceeded to milk 5.5 liters out of Bessie, the regular cow. Slow, but got Kate's tank topped up.

Gas was 10. Gave him a twenty and a thanks.

    Time to roll.

Nothing like the Hot Spring to soothe them aching bones from a long motorcycle ride. Enjoy really enjoying your RR.

    Weather's nice. Music's good.
    La la la....

    Lovely. Just lovely.

KLR. Carried a spare tube. Sweet. One of those hard sidewalls.
    20190704_191047.jpg
    Hands-prepare to be abused.

After an hour or so into the ordeal, and the assist of a friendly semi (with compressed air), success! Sweet.
    20190704_144318.jpg
Used my new rear tire as a table to work on.
It was like a road side party for a few hours.

    20190704_154916.jpg
Seemed to take a while, but road side repairs in the dirt take time.

Covered in grease, my real hands were underneath somewhere.

Cleaned them a few times. They hate me.

My fellow rider is heading to Tuk his first time. He's gonna have a blast!

We had dinner at the Nugget in Watson Lake. I had the curry. Extra spicey.
    20190704_181116.jpg
    Pretty darn good.

Winding down in the after glow of the spices.

Maybe altered my schedule a few howas.
Don't care. I'd do it again. Any where. Any time. Not leaving a person behind.

Just gassed up in Teslin. Was really behaving on the way here. Got good mileage 24km/liter. 15 miles per liter. Was in fuel mode 1.

Scary bridge over the lake. Seemed like 500 meters of cheese grater horror.

Hazy and dusty. Tourists seem less combative.

Gonna ease up to Whitehorse for a stay.
Need a break. Kate wants to wear her new shoe.

    Sitting on the deck.
Hi Country RV park. This place bans generator use. Good. Been here before. Nice laundry. Good showa. Close to the steaks.

Picture of juicy steak here. Oh yeah.

    10 minutes lapsed.

    Picture of empty plate here.
    Chacho'd that baby.

Airport Chalet. Seems to be the consensus here. Delish.

Cute server caught a glimpse of my wallet, I turned the cc toe towards her, extra napkins.

    Big smile.

I toller I'm too old for her.

She, talking to my wallet, said no, don't think so.

Thinking to myself, my eyes are up here, hello.
