    Compass.
Head roughly South until you get sick of it. Then head roughly North until it looks vaguely familiar.
For the truly adventurous you can chuck in a bit of East and West.

If you are like me you can incorporate some vertical to horizontal..............................................

    Forrest Lane?
    Faye Gump?

South until you run out of dry land. Some other directions from there.

On that, a few weeks ago I followed about four of the roads that lead north from the Sturt toward the River. Nope, they don't go anywhere. One goes to a small area that the rutt diggers obviously frequent, another couple just end a gates and the one out near Borambola leads up to a high vantage point with pleasant views to the south and, more gates.

No one is jumping in and saying "yeah, lets do this..."
    what's the g.o?

Go for a derby on Saturday.
    Cabramurra or Talbingo or Adaminaby?

I'll try the road bike for a change, rather than the TTR.

    Who's in?
Will I be having lunch alone?

I could share half a gluten free vegan sanger and a single origin, decaf, soy Nescafe with you.

How's Tumbarumba sound. Not sure on how my damaged bits will be by then and how far I can comfortably ride but up for the challenge.
Something about jumping back on the horse................:scratch

I had a 2 day recce ride, on Sundy and Mundy...went to Rankins Springs.
Got to the caravan park at 11 pm.
Left early (skipper ) and had my Uncle Toby's po po while waiting for the shop to open..a nice coffee and 10 ltrs from his jerry as the servo wasn't opening till 9 am.
Back home via the east side of Cocopara, beautifull country, found a stack of beaut lanes and overgrown farm tracks that all linked up.
Got lost in Ganmain.. 4 locals couldnt tell me how to get out of there..the deisel retailer knew where I wanted to go, because he knows all the properties.
Lots of headers working flat out before it rains..they are having a bumper season.
Lots of grain trucks, semis, B doubles.
Lots of fesh fesh billowing behind.
    Got home about 7 pm
1026 kms. several Kangas 3 Goannas, Hares and rabbits, loose sheep and cattle, roads that have almost dissapeared from lack of use
    Lovely.
A few corrections needed on my map .
I want to go again. We should .
    It's getting hot now.
No pics, still haven't got a camera, I'm thinking buy meself a GoPro Hero 9 or last years Hero 8 and save a hundred.
Could I even operate a GoPro..??
And my fone doesn't work either...mostly..
    Brekky.

Looks like the road closures put paid to anything up in the mountains. Not fussed on the highway at this time - get cooked from the microwaves for one.

Prefer to go to Tallangatta or Corryong than Tumbarumba.
Tumbarumba Road is shit. Too bumpy on a road bike.

Only point in having a go pro is if you've got the time to edit the videos. I can't follow windows movie maker, so no advice there.
The only people interested in the videos are you, the people who your rode with and people who wish they were there. Or, maybe your grandkids in the US.
You have to have the time, and patience, to edit down to 3 to 5 second riding segments, unless there is something you think is interesting. That you think is interesting.

You need to be able to easily see that the camera is/is not running without playing with it.

I can see myself looking at my videos when I'm past it (not yet you lot). Of course, Youtube will by then, be defunct or not supporting old videos or some such.

    How about................

Rendevous Wymah Ferry head to Walwa
    Walwa - Shelley
    Bullioh - Granya
    Granya - Georges Creek Rd
Georges Creek Rd - Old Tallangatta (coupla kms of easy dirt)
into Tallangatta for a mince tart and a Farmers Union
    Tallangatta to Bethanga
Wymah Ferry via Talgarno Gap Rd

That's about 250kms Ferry to Ferry

Fuel available at Walwa and Tallangatta

Could be plenty of bikes out and about with a commensurate number of officials observing their behaviour.
