Alex, I'll take "Things. That. Never. Happen." for 1000 please!
Rockstore is intact. Bridge by the old place is gone but the restaurant is still there.
Its been a pretty rough week through multiple evacuations but glad these icons are still here.
Yup, I was just there on the other side of the bridge.
It'll be a bit before they are back up and running, power is still out in the area. But it was good to see that there were lots of utility crews working in the area. White trucks everywhere.
Boy, the Snake does not look the same.
Yeah, just saw that.
its astonishing, the power of fire...
This happens about every 20 years on average.
What kind of shape are the roads themselves in around there?
I rode on Kanan and PCH on Sunday. Everything else is pretty much closed, except to residents. Kanan burned from the 101 to PCH.
You'll have some missing/burned street signs and guard rails here and there but the road surface is fine (not sure if that holds true for roads that are still closed). Some street lights are still out on PCH.
Thanks. I’m shipping a bike out with me for a few weeks in the new year... hard to get a clear picture from the media coverage up here.
After the fires around Ojai and up to Montecito last year, there was a lot of slippery ash on the roads. The rains washed that away but brought a lot of mud. It took a long time for there to be any grip.
I've got ID and rode Mulholland from Cornell on Sunday. Lots of Damage and service crews working to repair power lines and the bridge is still out by the old place. Rains tonight are going to make the entire area very slippery.
Should be open by then.
The bridge on Mulholland next to the Old Place in Cornell is gone. That has to be replaced.

Has anyone played ride 3? They did a pretty impressive job on the snake, fun to play. skip to 7:42 for the corner everyone crashes in
All that crossing over the double yellow and in the opposite lane makes me nervous as fuck.
Yeah, good thing there isn't oncoming traffic.
281 km/hr at the rev limiter? What bike is that? FZ-09 me thinks.
This game is a godsend here in the midwest when there's snow on the ground. The Mulholland track is one of my favorites.
I've been getting more and more into it as well. Finding the right safety setting makes a big difference and the R4 super sport 600's are so fun. The Daytona track is intense, feels like you're in the races you see on tv
