Well the States Of Confusion results are posted... this was a really enjoyable tour and really got riders out into some neat small towns. Like many self-directed rally rides, it was pretty easy to be a finisher but after looking at the points it was sure tough to win. Top 3 spots were only 15 points apart, less than the value of 1 bonus stop.

Oh ... and @BasicJim beat me. Noob status hereby revoked

    Patch,

He beat me too! He held his own in the Void Rally too. Guess now we need to watch out for him as well.

Shoulders of giants? :imaposer More like shoulders of average, mid pack riders but we'll take it.

It's been my pleasure meeting you, riding with you, and getting to know you and I look forward to crossing paths again soon.

And that's why I'm probably not going to do the Minnesota 2020 like I want to!

Checked the mileage from Bowling Green to my house. 860 and change. Much as I really would like to do Rock and Ride I just can't make it work given my limited amount of available time off. Good luck to all of you lucky FFs who can make it!

Really looking forward to this one, should be a good shakedown for BLX though its kind of close!

Plus, it should tick a few states I've not ridden in so thats a plus.

Waiting for the time off approval to jump into RnR. I was hoping to get into MD2020 but as its Invite only, RnR is my only other option for another pre-BLX rally.

... and waiting for ToH to kick off while I meander around for BMR.

    Should be a great year!

I think you'll really enjoy the MN rally. I had a great time last year in the 24 hour version. Rode in some really nice areas and met a lot of people who don't normally make it some of the other rallies.

We are doing the Missouri Rally that Bob Bowman is putting on in June so can't make it to the MN rally also. We are originally from a town about 30 miles from where Bob lives so wanted to support him in his first event!

Wish I had time for MN1K. I've never been able to ride in that one. If I did, I'd probably have to ride the bike to Kansas City afterwards and leave it for the BL X start.

Some great riders on that MN1k in list and I’ve never ridden a bike in the state of Minnesota...

You doing the MD2020 finale? It sounds like it will be quite a ride. Sad to miss the opportunity

The MN2020 is a bit close (to BLX) for me too given the distance but I really wanted another shakedown. It will pretty much cook my time away from work for the year but I wanted a longer duration than the 33hr, where I can normally power through on little sleep. I think this one will force me to consider my route and on/off ride time better which is something I know I need to improve on after BLiX.

Yes, I am signed up for MD 20-20.

With regard to your second statement, I agree that a rally with more than one night involved completely changes things. ANYONE can power through just about ANYTHING for 36 hours. If you want to talk sometime about issues you had during BLIX, or some best practices to counter those issues, let me know.

    Sure, I'm in.

One of the problems with ADVRider is I don't recognize all the screen names. Who are you... :-)
