Flew up to Inuvik in my friends 206 with a side trip to Tuk, then boated the Firth all the way to Herschel. Awesome trip.

A friend with a Jet Ranger sounds like the right kind of friend.

The Province of British Columbia has been divided into 3 travel zones. Essential travel only.

The RCMP might be restricting your movement. And collecting fines. Cash?

Vancouver Island is one zone. The area around Vancouver is another. The third zone is the rest of the province.

Zone 3 is about 1400 km (900 miles) by 700 km (400 miles) or bigger than some countries.

Be ready to show your papers.

Yeah, that's quite the travel "restriction".

Some people think so. I can go to Walmart but I can't go to Costco.

If they would have spent as much time and money getting the vaccine as they are on the road blocks we would all be riding by now...

One thing people have to remember is how large the Yukon and North West Territories are.

Their populations are tiny, 36,000 and 45,000 people respectively. And I suspect those population numbers are highly exaggerated.

The towns are tiny. Several USA football stadiums hold more than both territories.

New Covid rule in the Yukon?

If a visitor shows up there and can prove that he is fully vaccinated then no 2wks self-isolation required.

Come on BC......I got my first shot March 19, 16 weeks to the second shot!:baldy

I am guessing the governments in Canada are not going to open up which is sad... we are planning for June 2022...

EXACTLY! I camped in those drift wood wind breaks on the beach(flew out on a twatter after rafting down the Firth) Had cariboo and arctic char there, also watched beluga's swimming by!!! Good history as it was a Russian whaling station in its day. Interesting grave sites...permafrost pushing skeletons to the surface!

It's starting to look like it could be very busy next year based on the number of people (myself included) that are looking to get their delayed travel plans realized.

Got the J&J on 4/12. I have been raring to go since the 26th. But, still expect to spend my time in the US at this point. Don't think that everything up north will be open early enough for me to do everything I want to do.
