I am leaving Vancouver BC June 14 heading to Tuk aiming for June 29th. Hope we get some good conditions. I was worried about making it through after seeing the pics of the mud from Inuvik to Tuk. Congrats to you guys!

With all the GSA's on the Tuk highway it is going to get destroyed.

KLR's only until it is finished/broken in!!!

Leaving Tuk tomorrow morning. It’s been great!!!! I’ll post a report and some suggestions as soon as I stay at a hotel, have a shower, plug in my laptop and eat three heads of lettuce and twelve bars with extra fiber. Just briefly, the Dempster is mostly fine, except the usual rough spots when it rains. The Tuk Road is 90% fine and, for now, 10% very soft. If you’re a novice off road rider, you might want to wait for them to fix it. The soft stretch lasts about 25 kms. Remember, they just opened it. The good news is that they’re constantly working on it with steam rollers and graders. But y’all, it’s worth the effort. Making it here has been a joy. Now a minor 5000 mike ride home. Forgive me if I don’t say more or answer all questions but I hate typing on a phone!!

    Wicked. I wasn't expecting that!
Do you have room for anything from this area? Four Winds has been producing some fantastic stuff lately.

I wonder if I will have enough fingers and toes to get a "number" shot by the time i get there around the 24th? :rofl

I'll be a couple days behind you leaving Vancouver, but catch up to you on the way it sounds like. What are you riding? I'm on a red Africa Twin with black panniers and a klim suit.
    My rough schedule is:
    16th- Prince George
    17th-Stewart/Hyder/Salmon Glacier area
    18th- Boya Lake
    19th- Whitehorse

Rim is good, just looks bad for some reason. Roads have been great if you like loose and deep gravel with an added cross wind to throw you off your game.

They almost certainly get one or two every now and then.
We even get a dozen or so every year in Newfoundland!
