    Good afternoon all.

Well, it looks like I’ll be moving over from Munich, Germany to GTA late this year. I’m an active rally and enduro as well as trail rider (27th place in the Hellas Rally this year, 2nd in class etc.). Trouble is, after a bit of searching around on the internet, I can’t find any roadbook rally scene at all in Canada... :dunno

Have I missed something? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    TIA...

There are some single day DS events in BC where they use roll charts and/or GPS's but IMO not multi day events BUT usually once your at the event you can do lots of pre/post rides if you want.

This is the link to DSBC and look at the Loose Screw event to get an idea. Its a long way from Ontario but you could make a 2 month summer holiday out of riding SOME of BC on various bikes :)

There are lots of GPS events but not much for true roadbook events in Canada, the only that I know of have been in the province of Quebec. 3 time Dakar veteran Patrick Trahan puts on 2-3 single day roadbook navigation events (no timing but sometimes a group of buddies are just pumped to see who's first to arrive at the beer tent after the finish line. Isn't that how Paris-Dakar became a race? :D). Events are open to bikes quads and Side-by-sides, he always offers an "Adventure" route for beginners of about 150km and then the expert route anywhere between 350-450km. The events are a good challenge for the rider and navigation, in very remote areas, lots of fun, cheap and not taxing on your time off from home and work. After that you have to head out to Mexico for Sonora, Baja, Coast to Coast etc...
