    i wouldn't go that far...

tec on a gs1200 may be hard, but you always have your brain to over ride the gps if you think it is not doable... no hero points for doing the whole thing...

Exactly, there are always roads to resort to! Nothing is mandatory!

That is exactly what I did on the 2012 Roaming Rally on the Sunday!
Although I made it up the hill climb on Sunday morning first try, it was without confidence. My bike setup was perfect for it (WR250R with Giant Loop Coyote bag), but I had zero experience on such trails.
I was riding alone because I am very slow, I just made sure I left early so there was people behind me.
So I skipped the Sunday afternoon dirt because I knew the Sunday route was very long.

I would slow down experienced riders too much in 2013, and I doubt I could find 2 other riders at my level.

Plus I am starting a 2 week road trip (RCR XXII is June 21 - 23) on my 675 Street Triple R that weekend! :evil

A couple things..... I had breakfast with you on the Sat. last year's RRally with 4Badboyz... You have your milage under you..

    June 13th – Check in
June 14th, 15th and 16th rides.... So that excuse is blown....:D

May I suggest your ride with Dresda, she is plenty solid on her wheels and will not carry on like the rest of us children...:1drink

Seeing her hubby wants to carry on like us....:rofl
Its just a suugestion and maybe I am stepping out of bounds, maybe Dresda is not coming... She is admin however...:D

Sorry if I crossed the line...

I certainly am going to ride but probably not following the trickier parts of the route partly because I want to get to the campground in time to count everyone in and will be leaving late because I want to count everyone out as well. I do want to ride all the gravel roads on the route so will be happy to ride with anyone who wants to skip parts of the route. :D

Actually I usually end up last too - I know my limits and I'm not eager to fall off. Maybe deersSlayer should join our team, the name of which is "Arrive Alive". You're welcome to.

First time I ever heard a toque referred to as a "hat". :rofl

Who owns the Scarlet red Stelvio? Will he be riding it in the 2013 RR?

That's Forseti's bike. From near Kingston. Check the Kingston thread to see his posts. I don't think he was signed up last year. I get the impression he just showed up on Thursday night.

Thanks for all the encouragement, suggestions and invites!

I know my limits too, and quickly realized on last year's ride that standing up in the rough sections raised those limits! :evil

But I am starting a 2 week road trip that weekend or on the following Monday, so I won't risk an off road riding injury.
Speaking of injuries, I hit my first deer heading down to the RCR in June 2003. Maybe off road riding is safer for me! :D

I hope there's another Roaming Rally in 2014, because overall I had a great time on the 2012 ride! :thumb
