I'm 120 kms from the start point, but there's good fun to be had from here to there, and I have parking for 50.

Three members of our team are looking to park two vehicles and one trailer. They are thinking maybe leaving the trucks at Woody's and riding down to the start - wonder if Woody would be ok with this?

Ted has this been discussed with Woody, don't want to harass him with calls if it has been covered.

More info on truck/trailer parking coming in a day or two...stay tuned!

FYI...we are working on having this food truck at Woody's Saturday evening so folks don't have to head into town looking for food.

Even with the dry conditions, all the sections that make use Hydro lines still have notable water crossing...some of them are fairly deep with some hidden obstacles lurking under the muddy waters just to make this interesting.

    Deeper than it looks!

Nope, due to it being nearly impossible to predict and if we attempted it....murphies law would throw an unsuspected beaver dam into the mix and I can foresee someone sitting beside a watered out bike say "wtf this wasn't on the gps file".

I can say if it doesn't rain this will be the driest route to date :nod

We try our very best to ensure water crossings are hard bottomed and "usually" are no deeper than 24 inches

    10 days to go :pynd

    Email has been sent out!

We've attached a pdf write up with info on the rally, camp grounds, the route, etc. Please read it carefully!

Also a GPS .gpx file is attached. It contains 8 separate tracks for Friday and Saturday's ride. Sunday no gps file is required as Woody has marked out a couple of routes with arrows for us. Also contains 35 waypoints for fuel, food, hospitals, LCBO and Beer Store, etc...

If you do not receive the email, then I probably don't have your email address. If you did receive it please make sure to forward it with the attachments to the rest of your team mates.

    IT'S MAY!!! BRAAAAAP!!!

Ever shifting weather. Thursday might be a wet one but it'll keep the dust down on Friday :lol3

Now if my tire and brake pads would just come in.

There have been a few questions about req'd fuel. All the tracks end/begin at a fuel stop with an average of less than 100kms.

With the exception that there is not a fuel stop at the end of 2B. It is another 60km into 2C, so that will make the longest distance between fuel stops about 180kms (113mi).

Having said that...it's never a bad idea to have extra fuel. Say you miss the fuel stop at the end of 1C for example, you could be looking at more like 230km (144mi). Not sure a stock 690 tank for example will make that...especially if you have a heavy throttle hand.

    Always plan for the unexpected...

One other small thing that was brought to our attention...the day one tracks go from 1D to 1F instead of 1E. The tracks are correct, the last one was just mislabelled.

    It's almost time to ride!!!:freaky
