Safe travels everyone, cya Thursday. Forecast is showing hot weather with a few roaming thunder storms....this likely means hot and humid....aka you'd be wise to have lots of water with you during the rides.

We'll be at the Loons Call around 2pm on Thursday to begin registration :thumb

Had this happen to a buddies Tiger yesterday. Managed to JB weld the chain back together and limp out of the Bush. Two other guys had break downs in the exact same spot!

    Was a great ride though!

Had a good time and rode with two great guys, 4mud and tattewell. Unfortuately our fourth had bike issues very early on during day one and turned back. I lucked out and rode up front in the dust free zone and my team mates followed entirely out of curiousity to see where my GPS skills would take us :lol3. Really enjoyed the small bike 10 km loop on day 1. The "waterfall" pic below is of the lower end and does not do it justice at all - I don't think it would be possible to ride up be mere mortals.

The fast woods trails in day 2 with the rocked out climbs and power lines were all great as well, gave the 500 a good work out.

First big water crossing almost captured tattewell but he had the presence of mind to hit the kill switch and only needed to swap out the air filtre.

^That was a deep one, here's another bike pushing through. A bit of a wake and lots of luck to not water out.

Less luck was to be found on the second big water crossing. We met a couple guys who had turned back and warned us off but undeterred we carried on. 4mud got bounced off on the rocky bottom and dropped the 690 in over its head. We pushed it across and had it going again in short order. I believe deadly99 has the vid of our crossing.

Same water crossing captured two more bikes as we were buttoning up 4mud's bike. Helped pull one acoss and dump water from the exhaust and pull the airbox (another 690) but I think the owner had tried a restart and the motor had sucked in water. The other bike, a Yamaha was at the begining of the crossing so we got it onto the dry(ish) shoulder after braving the many big ass leaches. Hope you made out alright boys.

    Great ride!
    Great people!

We did get that watered out Yamaha up and running in the middle of the swamp after some very creative head cover/spark plug removal procedure without a proper spark plug wrench while balancing for dear life on marsh island of cottontail mush. Circled by swimming snakes and leaches the size of a break lever.

Here is a quick video of the Yamaha getting out under own power after the fix.
